They've been carefully and selectively educated out of American society. Every time you see these people and you ask yourself what happened? What do they all have in common? They ALL went to government school. The end product may be stupidity, illiteracy, anger, frustration or hopelessness, but what is NEVER produced is an understanding of how the world works. That is not an accident. Malcolm X of 2025 is watching BET and Li'l Wayne right now. Read John Taylor Gatto.

What!? No. You're wrong. It's about protecting the CHILD, which in this case would be black. You can't just say "colonialism" and just apply that to everything. Racism and criminalizing of minority groups is real and happens, but you can't just throw that label on everything.

This is just a pretty obvious tactic. The Right, by that I mean the corporate interests and the parties that serve them (ie. the religious conservatives) dominate the agenda of the media and universities and colleges, and the government. This is just an easy way to drum up support through faux-victimhood while pretending these horrible pro-corporate policies are the OTHER parties' fault. C'monn...you can't take anything these guys say seriously...don't get sucked in to this non-debate....

Let's take this guy's argument at face value and assume it's true. Why not REWARD parents for their kid's performance? It's the same argument just taken from a positive side. You want that 100$ child performance bonus, well you'd better make sure your kid studies, gets sleep, food and arrives on time. If you take away money from struggling kids, they will not miraculously improve on the whole. Some will, more will fail, which is the point.

This is like arguing that everyone has the right to be thrown into a meatgrinder. I suppose everyone should on principle but I just can't get excited about it. Instead of figuring out how to put women into combat roles, we should be trying to figure out how to get men OUT of combat roles. Fighting to put women in only means that you've accepted that the wars are never-ending. You've accepted the wars are necessary. Now we fight to tweak the war-state instead of caling for an end.

Oh come one...even if you agree with the point this is the most obvious propaganda. If kids wanted the military to go to Iraq and rescue the people from the 'bad guy' would we take it seriously? The toppling of Saddam statue was staged...but this is presented as news without question? Cmonnn...raise your game TYT

Can someone explain something to me why do they care about keeping citizens armed? I mean I think we all know the Constitution-stuff is bs, who what is the point. If you believe a capitalistic system inevitably runs towards fascism (which it does), why bother with this faux-fight? What is the point of keeping people you ultimately want as a passive and obedient workforce armed? In all other removal of civil liberties Fox is a willing and eager partner, but why draw the line here?

And how do you prevent/control future events - well if it were me, I'd move to get control of governments through bribery and debt, get control of the printing of money, use the corporations to buy up everything, consolidate the media to control the message, implode the economies of the world, impose austerity, get eyes everywhere (surveillance state), back it up by a police state, go after anyone who speaks out. Then I'd want to cut back on the population somehow...

Shut up Powell. How many people did you help murder when you lied to the world about weapons of mass-distruction? I've got your dark vein right here...if there were any justice in this world you'd be in the Hague. Yes the GOP are racists...like the Democrats. They pimp the white/religoius/old/capitalist vote and the Democrats pimp everyone else. It's nothing to be proud of, and if I had as much blood on my hands from REAL PEOPLE I helped kill, I'd shut my mouth before talking about others

sigh...and this is why we can't get progress...because people like this believe that dropping bombs on foreign countries makes us safe...somehow.. When he's getting his hands dirty with the blood of other people who do you think he's doing it for you...the people who just got rickrolled in the fiscal cliffjump? Who really benefits? Maybe those militants wouldn't be so angry if you didn't kill them, stage coups, support dictators, etc... The first sentence you wrote is a lie.

Is this crime worth $100,000.00+countless costs and fees and medical care, plus having his life ruined?
The answer is no.
Criminal record.
Probation.
2 years - community service - service to be determined by the court.
Every saturday - helping others
Done.
He did commit a crime. There was a victim. Punishment should be fitting and he should have an opportunity to CORRECT himself through service to others and self-reflection, NOT by being made into yet another victim. This helps no one.

This is meant to destroy even what little balance remains in mainstream media. You take the demonstrably pro-Israel media, then you say it's Anti-Israel and hopefully you can make it even MORE pro-Israel. The appeal to ethnicity is just another way of trying to circumvent logic of Jewish owners of media. Be more pro-Israel because you're Jewish. While simultaneously feeding into anti-Jewish sentiment. "Jews own most media (which is not a problem per se) But look they have a bias!"

Ugh...there are so many failures in this analysis:
1. Would the wife have felt the same way if these were Eastern European immigrants at a hair salon?
2. These are poor, lower-class women facing a man with privilege and wealth. Why target them? What made them more attractive victims? Asian preference or their vulnerability?
3. Did the wife act in his interest or to protect her OWN career?
"Loyalty" ?"Stupidity"?
C'monnn.. Usually great analysis from TYT. But this was way off.

They always miss the obvious point.
The reason no one cares is that there is an underlying assumption that this will be used to target black, latino and poor people. This is what the war on 'drugs' has been about from the beginning. If they thought cops would be checking in the gated communities and brownstones, people would certainly be up in arms. They believe it won't affect them. Even if they actually do drugs regularly. The war on drugs is a war on poor people.

Black people shouldn't vote Democrat...or Republican.
Nothing from either party will ameliorate the black condition.
The problem is bigger than either party - deindustrialization, globalization, peak oil, the rise of a plutocracy, inverted totalitarianism, the military industrial complex, inflation, regulatory capture...
We (they) must save themselves. Period.

Cenk usually misses the point in his wrap-up:
They're not voting for him DESPITE his hypocrisy, that's not even a factor. They genuinely don't care about that. They're voting for him because he will push the values that they espouse.
Period.
Let's not forget these people are voting for church doctrine to replace law despite the fact that they are SINNERS. They know this. So it's not a real scandal, so long as he continues to push for what they want.
These voters are driven by ideology.

The problem is that this is the rational response to Christian theology. If you begin with the premise that 1)Life is a gift from God 2)Life begins at conception 3)To deny that gift is a sin Then you have no choice but to accept that rape/incest must be part of God's plan. Instead of denouncing one man, we should be denouncing the ideology that he is espousing, at least so far as it affects PUBLIC policy. Of course we are all free to believe whatever we like and act accordingly for OURSELVES.
