Spring is Family Time - Adventures in Asheville, NC

131 views 6 days ago
The spring this year seems like the long awaited blockbuster film of the year. We were frozen solid for a good 6 months and were curious if the Sun would ever return to our beautiful mountains. Here in Western North Carolina I can say it finally feels like spring with the Dogwoods and Cherry Blossoms blooming everywhere. Hope you get a chance in your life to visit the Asheville, NC area. Add it to your bucket list. I can't imagine living anywhere else, except maybe New Zealand.

Earlier this month we visited the overlooks closest to East Asheville on the Blue Ridge Parkway. It was hazier than we would have liked to take great pictures of the distand ranges, but it was still beautiful none the less. This was the first 70 degree (F) day of 2014 for us.

Thursday we had a lot of errands to run and we did them as a family. We took the Land Rover Discovery II to get the trailer light harness installed from Jim Campen's Trailer Sales in Fletcher, NC. They did a great job and only charged me $40 labor. Now we have to get the tire replaced on the boat trailer and we can get the boat in the water!

I picked up a wireless network adapter for my D3200 camera so I can share videos and pictures to my galaxy note 3 and then upload them immediately. This will help me keep you all up to date even more! It cost me $49 from Best Buy. Pretty neat that I can actually control the camera with my phone. I also picked up a UV filter for $5 to help protect my lens.

Soon we will have more videos coming. Its a busy time at work and also rebooting our Minecraft server this weekend. Feel free to try it out after midnight 4/12/2014. The server IP is craft.teambruno.org

I took these photos using the Nikon D3200 DSLR. I use a 18-55mm lens and a 35-200mm lens.
