I've never been hit by a car, but I imagine it's a pretty stressful situation. I'm not sure I'd be able to stay as calm as this gentleman seems to be. According to the video, this man was hit by a rather large trunk, and jumped on that truck's hood as it tried to flee the scene. Another driver pulls up alongside the truck, and the man politely asks the other driver to call the police. That's poise under pressure.

Tomorrow is Microsoft's big Xbox event, so to try and steal their thunder Sony released a sneak peek of the PS4 hardware. It's a blurry wide shot of the box cut, with quick flashes of close ups. If they showed the box itself we'd be excited. Instead we're just disappointed -- again. Sony, if you want to steal someone's thunder by showing your junk -- you need to show your junk. Let's break down this failure frame by frame.

The topic of the Alien movies came up in the office the other day, and I realized I probably haven't watched the first two since high school at the latest. Last night was the finale of this season of Doctor Who and we're now left wanting until the 50th Anniversary special airs on November 23rd. That's going to be a long six months for fans of the show, but thankfully the BBC seems to be dribbling out bits of information about the 50th. They've even released some behind-the-scenes stuff like this clip of Matt Smith and David Tennant having a chat about what it's like to be The Doctor.

Okay, so, don't freak out or anything, but Earth's atmosphere is escaping. Ridiculously slowly, I should say, and there's no concern that it'll happen at any point soon. We're talking billions of years before it's gone. MinuteEarth breaks it all down in this handy video, but it's pretty much a problem of our hydrogen and helium trying to get the heck out of here whenever they can.

If you haven't played Team Fortress 2, you should really go do that. The team-based shooter video game's found a kind of longevity that publishers and developers that aren't Valve dream about. TF2's received numerous updates over the years, dropped to being a free-to-play game, and even added a third faction of robotic enemies. Community-made items have appeared in various packs over time, but their latest update is the first that's been 100% made by the community.

One of the issues that people have with J.J. Abrams on both Star Wars and Star Trek is the idea that he's going to end up confusing the two somehow. What, exactly, does that mean? It's hard to say, but Official Comedy's taken a stab at what they think must be going on with J.J. Abrams' Star Trek Wars.

Batman: Arkham Origins is set to launch October 25th, 2013, and this recently dropped teaser shows off some impressive CG, a grizzled Batman, and a really, really cool take on Deathstroke. Between you and me, Deathstroke's definitely in my top five when it comes to DC, so I'm pretty excited that he's been getting a lot of love lately. Young Justice, Arrow, and even his own ongoing for a bit there in the New 52 come to mind. This teaser him battling with a younger Batman is just gravy.

Our buddies over at Slacktory recut the 1971 Steven Spielberg movie Duel, replacing most of the audio with that of a driver's ed filmstrip from 1949. The result is pure genius, as well as a great way to watch pretty much all the important parts of the movie in just under four minutes.

I'm a big fan of "The Elements" by Tom Lehrer. You might not know the name, though you really should, but you've likely heard the song at some point. It's literally just Lehrer singing the elements on the periodic table while playing the piano. There are two kinds of people here at the Geekosystem office: Those that can't wait for Pacific Rim to come out on July 12th, and those that can't wait but are kind of tired of hearing about from the other employees. I'm in the first camp, so here's the latest and greatest Pacific Rim trailer to tide us all over until then.

Today at 12:00 PM EDT J.J. Abrams and the cast of Star Trek Into Darkness will have a Google Hangout with astronauts, including Chris Cassidy, one of the astronauts aboard the International Space Station who recently went on a space walk to fix an ammonia leak on the station. So, remember when we told you yesterday that a) there was going to be a good deal of Arrested Development promotional material arriving in the coming weeks and b) you were going to see a lot of it here, because we're pretty damn excited for the show's return? Yeah, we totally meant that. What's left to say about the Riddick franchise and Vin Diesel starring as the eponymous main character? Apparently enough to make a new movie. Simply titled Riddick, the latest movie releases on September 9th, and the trailer that just dropped kind of...looks like a bit of a rehash of Pitch Black? Whatever, it'll be good for an hour or two of Diesel beating up on people and then trying to save them when the inevitable darkness descends.

Do you have your own bodyguard? No? Well this flower sure does. It's a Lady's Slipper Orchid, and it's on the brink of extinction. Le Jardin de Yorkshire exhibition will be displaying one of the rare flower, and a team of botanical experts/flower mercenaries known as the Cypripedium Committee have agreed to protect it.

There are few things I love more than Doctor Who, but even I have to admit that some of the mocked-up websites and apps depicted in the show are a little bonkers. I won't go through and list the worst offenders, but the folks at Slacktory sure seem to be up to the task. They've put together a compilation of cheesy sites and apps from what appear to be the first four seasons of the current Doctor Who.

I think it's pretty safe to say that everyone on the staff here at Geekosystem -- and most of our readers -- are huge fans of Jurassic Park. From the John Williams score to the presence of Jeff Goldblum to oh, yeah, the giant animatronic dinosaurs all over the place, everything about the movie is utterly incredible and downright perfect. Well, maybe not everything. The professional nitpickers at CinemaSins have uncovered a few minor errors that we somehow missed in about a bazillion viewings ...

We caught a quick look at some footage from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. already, but this is the first full trailer, and it's spectacular. It gives us a sense of the team and their dynamic without giving too much away in terms of story. We find out that Agent Coulson survived the events of The Avengers, but we don't find out how. This is just speculation, but is J. August Richards coming across as a little bit like Luke Cage? Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will air Tuesdays this fall.

We've seen a few previews of the Fox animated version of Axe Cop, and so far it's everything we could want a show that's basically written by a five-year-old to be. This latest trailer comes as part of Fox's upfronts presentation giving advertisers a look at their fall lineup. In it, we see a lot more characters from the Axe Cop universe, and we learn what's even better than friends.

With humans continuing our long, slow journey into space, it's only a matter of time before children are conceived and born in space, whether it's on a space station like the ISS or a colony on Mars. But Vsauce explains how low gravity and other concerns -- like radiation exposure -- mean that taking humanity into space could make having a kid even more complicated than it already is.

I have a dog, and it's fun to imagine what he might be thinking because he's generally pretty pumped about every single thing that happens. Cats, however, always seem pretty miserable, so imagining what they're thinking would probably be really depressing. Ze Frank settled it once and for all and made this video of sad cat diary entries over pictures of sad cats. It's a little depressing, but it's also hilarious.

Chris Hadfield launched to the International Space Station on December 19, 2012. In March of this year he became the first Canadian commander of the ISS. While serving on the ISS, Hadfield has recorded music, posted pictures and videos, and engaged the world through social media in an unprecedented way. The constant overhaul of little to big features makes it difficult to count on anything at all lasting. What's worse than a Facebook update, though? Tomorrow is Mother's Day here in the U.S. and our nation's Kid President has some words on the subject. Specifically, he has ten things he thinks kids everywhere want their moms to know. As ever, this Kid President video is adorable and hilarious. Posting this link on your mom's Facebook wall won't necessarily make up for forgetting to get her a gift, but it couldn't hurt.

Chris Hadfield is definitely one of our favorite astronauts, and as part of his stay on the International Space Station he's been explaining how stuff works up there and performing experiments. This particular video was shot before the big issue with the ammonia leak, but it only seems right that Hadfield recently discussed why it's particularly difficult to smell in space. Hint: It has to do with your head swelling up.

Data visualization, in a lot of ways, can be considered a science more than anything else. Sure, it can be artistic, but it's all about how to present, well, data. A good visualization of data, no matter how pretty, is only as good as the information that it's based on. As Edward Tufte says in the latest video for PBS Off Book, "And so, the history of visualizing data is very substantially a history of science."

Today in Things You Probably Never Thought You'd See in Your Lifetime, we present to you this: A Pokémon ballet. No, this is not a joke. I repeat, this is not a joke. This was actually performed at Creighton Lied Arts Center with choreography by Andrew Plotner. They even used music from the Pokémon Reorchestrated: Kanto Symphony by skotein. Hack A Day's Caleb Kraft impressed us last week with a replica of Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, that actually shot lightning. Well, it sparked pretty mightily, anyway, and that was good enough for us. Obviously the greatest college movie of all time ever in the whole entire world is Revenge of the Nerds, which is why this trailer by Lance Ford that smashes the two together is so perfect. This trailer for the new Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg, and Nick Frost movie The World's End looks like exactly the kind of thing these three do really well together.
