CSX Q438-10 heads eastbound in the early morning through Riverdale Park, Md. Crossing the Queensbury Rd grade crossing is leader CSX ES44DC #5200 with CW44AC #276 providing the power. A little lite fog develops about halfway through the train as my lens fogs coming from the AC in the moist warm air. Looks kind of like a ghost train for a minute.

These are trains I caught on my way to work in the morning. Using my scanner I can usually get trackside in time. First up is CSX Q438-01 heading through Riverdale Park on one of the few clear days we have had this month. Leading is CSX ES44DC #5397 with CW44AH #5111 and CW44AC #380 trailing. Next day moves over to Bladensburg on a cloudy, drizzling AM with CSX Q702-04 making the trip up the bridge ramp. Leading is CSX CW44AH #597 with CW44AC #162. Finally again on a dreary morning CSX Q741-03 crests the bridge to at Bladensburg with a pair of AC GEVOS ES44AH #916 and #898.

CSX Q217-06 moves through the grade crossing in Riverdale Park, MD with CSX SD60 #8709 leading and Conrail C40-8 #7496 trailing. This train was also videoed about five minutes up the line from here by fellow tuber GaithersburgRail. This train load of empty autoracks is headed back to POTTERSBURG OH and the Honda plant there.

CSX Q409-26 heads down off the Bladensburg bridge on a cool misty morning. Leading is yet another ES44DC GEVO #5451 with a CSX CW44AC #42 trailing. I didn't get an axle count but this is a nice long train and judging from the sounds has a lot of empties on it.

CSX Q400-04 heads across the Tanglewood Rd grade crossing in Hyattsville on the Alexandria Extension. Lead by 7 locomotives this train is approaching the interlocking with the Capital Sub. Leading is CSX ES44DC's #5306, 5315, GP40-2 #6138, SD50 #8624, ES44DC #5369, SD40-2 #8137 and GP40-2 #6100.

Since I have videoed this train here many times I thought I would cross to the other side of the platform for a somewhat different point of view. See at the grade crossing in Riverdale Park CSX Q740-22 - Tropicana Juice train heads east on to Baltimore. Leading today is a pair of (YAWN) CSX ES44DC's #5251 and #5264. Too bad a high priority train doesn't have better power.

CSX Q439-22 moving westbound through Riverdale Park with a long string of mixed freight is lead by CSX ES44DC #5321 and CW44-9 #9050. At about the 4:05 mark you can see a string of 3 8 axle heavy duty flat cars and there is a fourth one later on. I also got a good shot of the fully gated grade crossing here where one side comes down and then several moments later the other side comes down to completely close off the crossing.

CSX Q173-23 heads westbound on track 1 in Riverdale Park, MD. The rather narrow platform here at the MARC station provides a good up close view of this long intermodal train. Leading is a nice consist of CSX CW44AH #565 and CW44AC #53. This train had 372 axles according to the detector so given the number of articulated strings it must have been over 100 cars in total.

CSX Q410-21 crosses over from the Alexandria Extension on to track 2 of the Capital Sub in Riverdale Park, MD. Leading today are a pair of CSX ES44DC Gevos #5410 and 5498 moving through the Queensbury Rd grade crossing. This same train was captured earlier in the day in Ashland VA by fellow Youtuber FastFlyingVirginian.

CSX Q702-18 moves slowly up the bridge ramp in Bladensburg MD with a pair of CSX ES44AH units #813 and #875 in the lead. The train has an approach signal which is why it is moving so slowly. Lead engine has a nice sounding horn (though I have no idea what kind).
