Buffalo State has produced a number of graduates who have pursued highly successful careers in the entertainment field including Tom Fontana, '73 (award-winning writer and producer,St. Elsewhere, Homicide: Life on the Street, and Oz); Marcia Mule, '81 (producer of Celebrity Poker Showdown, Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List, and others); Diane English, '70 (creator, writer, producer, Murphy Brown); Deborah Oppenheimer, '75 (producer of The Drew Carey Show, George Lopez, and more), and many others.
