When one person suffers from a delusion it is called insanity, when many people suffer from a delusion it is called Religion. I hope humanity can surpass its insane common delusions and realize how exciting the world and the universe can be... Biological evolution should be an obvious truth by now, lets progress as a species and leave the nazis pope, child molesting priests, suicide bombers and hijakers, the cruisades, the inquisition etc as an embarrassing part of our childish past.

Awesome presentation!

Well, thank you! I really enjoyed Schmidt-Salomon's presentation!

Have there been made any more videos of the "Darwin, Humanism and Science"-conference? I would very much appreciate getting to watch the presentations of Richard Dawkins and Michael Schmidt-Salomon!

mremilysdad - bobrussell's comment was referring to a previous video, not to Terry Pratchett. I think he was referring to the guest on the BBC News video who came on after Andrew.

Artifactorfiction - I haven't seen this or heard other complaints, however I expect it's an intermittent problem with the new channel layout, which youtube will shortly be rolling out across the board, so we'll stick with it for now in the expectation that it will soon be fixed. Thanks.

Is anyone else having problems viewing the list of uploaded videos - I keep getting Javascript:; error on the status bar - only with this youtube site others seem fine ?

I think bobrussell1957 is entitled to his opinion although I, quite frankly, cannot understand how anyone can find Sir Terry Pratchett annoying. He really is an inspirational human being and has brought pleasure to so many through his fantastic (and I chose that word carefully) writings. Humanism would find it hard to find a better ambassador.

Very moving stuff, especially if you know Sir Terry's own situation. Here's hoping he doesn't have to make that decision for a good while yet.

What an annoying person...

Cheers and empathy from this American Humanist. I suppose you're as baffled as I am by Christian groups who have all the influence and still seem to think that they're oppressed.
