There has been a lot of misunderstandings here. So let me clear things up.

The final tour dates were never part of the contest. The dates we listed on the site were the dates the contest applied to.

The concerts that were listed on the front page of the website were the only participating concerts. This contest never had an open ended deadline.

We thank everyone for their efforts and we're sorry everyone couldn't win.

My last comment didn't make it to the website, so I will try again.
So I contact the webmaster to find out why they "closed" this contest and they said that since "there were only a few dates left" it was canceled. I guess those of us in Auburn Hills, Boston and New York who have entered, or planned on entering this contest are out of luck since it appears that our cities don't really matter to them. They just dropped us like a hot potato. Why they didn't try to fix the problems instead of canceling the contest is beyond me and it is just a cop out. And I'm sorry if some people think that it is "sour grapes". We put our hearts into making these videos to get a chance to be close to the band that we love and the door was just slammed in our face. To paraphrase a song, this contest is like "bad medicine", but I still love Bon Jovi and always will.

Happykappy, tell us your story please ... I'd love to know if it's any different that those of us "sour grapes".

So surprised at all the sour grapes. The contest was for people to enjoy and participate in for fun. I think it is sad when people just harp on all the negatives. I enjoyed watching videos from the different cities, so thank you.

I am so amazed at how this contest was run. Very disgusted by all the lies. So many of us feel wronged and that is sad. I wanted to be the NJ ticket winner(Philly or NY) but there wasn't any. I am sorry for everyone who feels the same way and missed an opportunity to win tickets in their area. It seems unfair as the rules were not kept.
I do wish that all the wrongs would be righted in some way but I am just a dreamer. :) I wish you all the best!

As I mentioned a few months ago, it's so sad that this contest has been so mis-managed. The constant inconsistancies in the posted rules, lack of communications or notifications to winners, lack of ticket winners in certain areas, and looking at the CD winners' list - there's just a handful from the US. I had the impression that more CD winners would be chosen, especially when many clips were used on the long tour. Maybe someone needs to send "Obie" a message to pass onto the boys...I'm sure they would be dissappointed (or shocked) if they read through the comments from day one. Congrats to all those that did win - the contest was a great idea and alot of fun!

livingfine, I totally agree with you. It reflects quite badly on the band, which is so not right - these guys were obviously hired to do a job, and lessons must be learned from this. I do acknowledge that they have now announced the London winner on the BONJOVILOVESMYTOWN site - but this was only within the last few hours.. leaving those who entered frustrated, angry and immensely disappointed with the whole affair. Well done to the London winner - I hope she enjoyed herself !!:-)

The good thing to come out of this contest is Jon & the guys can see, from a different view than normal, how much we all love being fans of Bon Jovi.....

I hope this debacle doesnt discourage people from enterting things in future.... my motto was you can but try :-))

I helped icklewickleginge with her video, so I know the effort that went into this competition, we even went out and bought a new camcorder!! She spent hours filming and editing, as did everyone else here that entered. I know its been said that 'this is a new thing, there is a learning curve' . Well we have never made a video before, but we still managed to get an entry in on time! Does it really take 6 days plus to look at 7 x 4min vids?

Well, its 2.5 hrs before the band is due on stage for the last time here in Europe this tour, and still no London winner / winners announced :( :(

It is very dissapointing when you consider the time and money spent by the participants of this fiasco, that not even some common courtesy was extended, to say what was happening. BAD BAD BAD

I can assure you ickle that with the number of people this happened to, making it up to all of us is clearly not going to happen. I hope people keep in mind that the band would have hired people to administer this contest. The band itself, I doubt even knows whats gone on. Jon takes great pride in how the band is put out there. I know this would disturb him. I wouldn't want to be the staff member to bring it to his attention. Yes, we all had fun, but ultimately, we all wanted to win. Dates coming and going with no announcement = cruel.
