PHILLIP CHANCELLOR IV appears Thursday, July 16
It's been eight years since the residents of Genoa City last saw Phillip Chancellor IV. In 2001, Penn Badgley appeared in the role. John Driscoll is slated to become the fifth actor to play Phillip, not counting two sets of twins that played the character as an infant. He was last seen on the show as a child before leaving town with his mother Nina. We have heard he's spent time serving in Iraq. There are rumors that another character is to be revealed as gay, and that it will be a major character. I think we now know they were talking about Thom Bierdz as Phillip III. So as not to confuse viewers with his father, Phillip Chancellor III (Thom Bierdz), John Driscolls Phillip Chancellor IV will be called Chance.

After ATWT, I find it hard to believe we're seeing the birth of another gay-male kissing ban on Y&R. We've already had a fade to commercial, and now we are treated to a cut away to aghast third party. After seven months of this on ATWT, I cannot bear to see this ever again.
For a few months Y&R was a really good soap and I was so looking forward to the gay storylines. But so far we've had lame and sleazy, and if rumors are true that Phillip III will hook up with Rafe, we will have the most boring gay couple on TV.
There are a series of pictures on SON Y&R photo gallery that show there was at least a stunt kiss after Rafe grabs at Adams T-shirt collar, but it wasnt shown on yesterdays show.

Michael Muhney has proved to be a great choice. He has, in a very short time, made Adam Wilson deliciously ominous.
