Well I've made them a little looser, which I seem to like more than the way they were tuned tightly before. If it sounds good to me, I think I'll stick with it.

I have an old drum, with fabric head. If I want to train tuning drums, even if that head is terrible. Can I train my tuning skills on it anyway? And if it's not possible, what can I do to make the best of it? I really want to learn how to tune.

Hey Bob I've been drumming for about 8 months now, and I just recently watched your tom tuning video. I tune my toms the same way, but they are a lot tighter. Is it bad to have tight toms? My teacher tunes them the same way, but my toms sounded so much different from yours. Help?
