Lorenzo started on the piano at age 9 1/2 and began formal piano lessons in early 2006 at age 10 at the University of the Philippines' Piano Extension Program with Prof. Mauricia Borromeo as his teacher. At 12 years old and with only 2½ years of piano studies, he gave his 1st piano solo recital on August 2, 2008 playing Mendelssohn's Piano Concerto No.1 as the main piece. The recital was very well received by Manila's press and music cognoscenti.
Since then he has won the top prizes of our country's piano competitions, the National Music Competitions for Young Artists (NAMCYA), the Piano Teachers Guild of the Philippines' (PTGP) annual piano competitions, the University of the Philippines, College of Music Piano Competition and the Steinway Piano Competition.
Enzo wishes to become an accomplished concert pianist someday who will proudly represent his country.
