I really enjoy following your projects and these videos are great! In response to making holidays happy, one technique I did with my daughter growing up was before her birthday and Christmas she would clean out her toys and clothes to see if there were items to pass on for other kids to enjoy. Then when she was given gifts she had a place for them. We also limited our gifts to one from us early on so that she had to give more thought to her list. With extended family and friends, abundance never seem to be an issue, which was all the more reason to limit what we did. Also, each year we had a party that involved her and her friends doing some service for others in the community. The kids loved this because they were together. She is now 20 years old and we still continue this tradition. We have made our holidays about the people and being around the table with friends and family.

This is such nice digestible format. Thanks for doing these videos.

About coming up with a family grace if you are not involved with a faith-based grace....

At our house for years we've said one simple thing before we eat: "Thank goodness, we get to eat again!" This sounds simple, but we mean it, and it's now a habit for my children aged from 11 to 21. We also had no common faith at the time, but we all like to eat and were grateful each time we got to do it again. A sincere expression of gratitude.

Keep up the good work!
