Testing feeding propellant into a real motor at pressure.

The injector hole was not a perfect fit with the shape of the propellant, so I pretty much expected this result. Still good to confirm the behavior though.

A real motor would need a matched injector and propellant cross section, plus some other things that I wrote about in my research paper about this topic.

Testing how close the flame can get to propellant without ignition.

This is relevant for a full-scale ribbon motor rocket that tows the propellant ribbon behind it. You want to know how to manage the ribbon so it won't ignite from the rocket engine plumes.

Testing the behavior of propellant as it passes through an injector hole.

An injector for a ribbon propellant motor is a hole in the combustion chamber where the ribbon propellant can be fed in during the burn. I drilled a slot in the side of half a PVC pipe that was left over from a previous test.

First test was with no motion to see whether the flame was affected by the injector hole.
Second test was with motion, attempting to keep the flame front just on the other side of the injector.
