Boonie Mayfield a/k/a Boon Doc (born Solomon James Vaughn on April 19, 1983) is an up and coming hip-hop producer/artist currently based in Denver, Colorado. Despite residing in a city that has been virtually shunned by the music industry, Boon Doc has managed to defeat the odds by generating a buzz through the internet with the use of his impactful Youtube videos and cutting edge beats. Fellow producers, artists and admirers around the world have constantly given him praise for his consistency, energy, style, soulfulness and humble attitude. Boon Doc's style clearly resembles hip-hop's "golden age" sound with an update of off-the-wall sample chopped melodies, intoxicating rhythms and hypnotic basslines. Although his personal favorite style of producing ranges within smooth, introspective, street/grimey and neo soul tracks, he proves to be extremely diverse with the ability to produce contemporary r&b, pop, club tracks and house. With the mass interest he has sparked around the world, Boon Doc is sure to become a household name in the near future.

I was just wondering after you sequence your beats what do you record into software like Cubase or Hardware digital recorder. Also what do you think about these MPC emulations like MOTU BPM, NI Maschine and what are your comments on the MPC 500

wat up? i have a problem with my 1000. No matter how hard I hit a pad, i can never get a velocity of 127. I get like 50 at best. Also the pressure meter is always low (i hit pads real hard, im actually worried i may break it).
I've tried the original Akai OS but now I have JJ OS 1 v4.99 - same results.
btw, i have a black mpc 1000 bk with upgraded pads. when Full Level is on i have no problem but i want my fingers to dictate the velocity.

ALSO, when I time stretch or pitch shift, the quality of a sample gets A LOT worse (of course tried different high quality samples). I dont have to stretch/shrink or pitch shift a sample much. Tried to use the smallest possible value and the quality is still bad...

do u know how do i solve this? i cant figure it out
