Blackchords released their self-titled debut album in 2009, to widespread critical acclaim and rave reviews, and was shortlisted for the 2010 AMP award. With numerous national tours around Australia under their belt the band toured twice to the UK and France, highlighted by showcase performances at The Great Escape and Liverpool Sound City in 2010.
Early in 2012 when the band embarked on the recording of their second album in Victoria's Yarra Valley, with the highly sought after Mercury Music Prize nominated and Grammy Award winning producer David Odlum (The Frames, Gemma Hayes). The first single from the album is a lighter and more upbeat track, Dance Dance Dance, which can be heard world wide on airwaves digitally this May, followed by the album later in 2012.
