The discovery of new planets in the last two hundred years owes more to mathematics than to bigger telescopes. Mathematical irregularities in the orbits of the outer planets, in particular, strange wobbles and gravitational anomalies noted in the orbits of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, have prompted astronomers over the past hundred years to search for a large planetary body in the outer solar system. Based on mathematical evidence, astronomers have been so sure of the reality of this planet that they named it Planet X. The name stands for the tenth planet, as well as the mathematical symbol for an unknown quantity.

The ancient tale of Nibiru's Celestial Battle is actually scientifically sophisticated, and current advances in astronomy have recently corroborated certain aspects of the Sumerian mythology.

The term Nibiru comes from the Sumerian cuneiform tablets and writings dating 5,000 years old. It was known to them as the planet their gods came down from. The Sumerian culture was located in the fertile lands between the Euphrates and Tigris rivers, at the southern part of today's Iraq.

It was said to be the home of a technologically advanced human-like alien race, the Anunnaki of Sumerian myth, who survived and later came to Earth.

How could the Sumerians know such things?

They were refreshingly candid about it. All they knew, all they were, their very existence was owed to the Anunnaki gods who created them, created their sudden culture and civilization. They wrote of an astonishingly active history thrust upon them, yet the vast majority of people in the world today have no idea any of this ever existed.
