Tornadoes...yes. Montana has them too. The trick out here is that you can't always just step out the back door and see one. SE Montana is a wide alley for tornadoes to pass through. And to add more mystery to the area, the closest Dopplar RADAR is hundreds of miles away. The Dopplar RADAR in Billings cannot define a hook-echo in Miles City. The RADAR is simply aimed too high at that distance to see lower activity in a cell.

Another thing, since 1950 NO tornadoes has hit Miles City, Montana...Yet Los Angeles, California also has had NO TORNADOES as well.
You see how paralell that is?
So why does Los Angeles, CA have no Tornado Sirens when Miles City, MT does?
People in L.A. think that Tornadoes are a new thing to them when L.A. County, CA's tiwsters is almost equal to alot of counties in Kansas!!
So if there is little diffrence between L.A. and Miles City, MT
