Like everyone, I'm amazed by how accurate - and apparently universal in its accuracy - your interpretation of RoyGBiv seems to be. Everyone agrees. In conversation with a fellow child of the 80s just the other day, I made reference to this song and "Music Has the Right to Children," which initiated a mutual reflection on what kinds of images would make sense of it. We both agreed that it reminded of us being in public school during midstream Reagan years, and we thought it was striking enough how much our intuitions corresponded on that point, but you, and everyone who has commented on your video, seem to have something similar in mind. I invite folks to hypothesize about why this might be true?
