The very Pinoys you think are appreciative of the "sacrifices" of Cory are the same people who look the other way while the murderers of her husband continue to lead comfy lives in Philippine high society. No less than Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. himself continues a successful political career -- elected by Filipinos enjoying this "freedom". 	On the contrary, this freedom's always been there. The tragedy is in people like you who think it has to be handed over to them by "heroes". You don't know what you have if it was sitting right under your nose. I'm even sorrier for people who feel obligated to kiss the hand that they THINK feeds them for the rest of their life. 	Old boy, NOBODY "allows" anyone to have "true meaning" of "freedom". Meaning and freedom come from within one's self no matter what type or how "oppressive" or "free" a society is. Everyone goes through their own version of persecution. Just because yours was harsh (in your opinion) does not necessarily make what others went through less harsh. (1 week ago)
