OK, it's not a real throw up in the street understanding. We needed a better background to shoot our intersticials for Q TV on bold. The red wall being kind of bland and the atrium at the CBC being super bright and as such always blowing out the background. So making the best of a limited situation, one Saturday ,when no one was looking, I spray painted a whack of Q's up on the wall. Way better branding and backdrop then before and it was fun to boot!

George Stroumboulopoulos, host of The Hour, and I travelled to Death Valley and Ft. Irwin to witness the mock Iraq that has been built there. Incredible trip and incredible place to say the least, getting up at 3am to drive to the valley, crossing it as the sun rose over the desert. Nice. Got her done by early afternoon and then drove off road for the rest of the afternoon in the desert. Good times. Part one of two. Field produced, produced and shot by Ben Aylsworth.
