The small spaces of an apartment contain issues of international scale in this intimate documentary. Lebanese law criminalises LGBT people, making them vulnerable to blackmail and attack -- sometimes from state police -- and preventing the report of hate crime. With safety and concern an apartment was hired where interviewees could speak freely. What emerges is a snapshot of queer life in urban Lebanon, described by Arab people from a variety of faiths and cultural backgrounds. From growing up in a war zone to the rise of Hezbollah and the shock of renewed conflict with Israel, issues of identity, safety and freedom combine with issues of sexuality and gender. Despite differing backgrounds and opinions these eloquent men and women share the struggle to live authentically in a culture that denies their existence.

Born in Turin, Italy, in february 1982, he attends the Sociology Faculty in Turin with favourite approach to the visual sociology.
In 2006 he realizes two tv reportages for GAY.TV, during the March of Tolerance of Krakow and in Moscow for the first Russian Gay Pride attempt; he's in London for a reportage about muslim gays for 'D -- La Repubblica delle Donne'; in the middle of the Israeli-Lebanese conflict, he's travel across Jerusalem and Tel Aviv to film the documentary 'Out of Focus' (dv 27'), winner of the 24th Turin Film Festival and of the 11th Valsusa Film Fest.
In 2007 he starts 'The Beirut Apartment on tour' together with the Don Quixote Collective, raising funds for the Lebanese project across Italy. In May he's in Lebanon filming the documentary 'The Beirut apt' made with Gavin Hallier (UK) and The Don Quixote Collective. In June he's in Istanbul making his last reportage about the local transgender community, in parntership with the Communist Re-foundation Party.
