In the late 1960s I was a violinist in the Leicestershire Schools Symphony Orchestra during the time when Eric Pinkett was the County Music Advisor. The LSSO regularly performed under the direction of its Patron, Sir Michael Tippett, and also worked with many eminent musicians including Norman Del Mar, William Mathias, Alan Ridout, Sir Arthur Bliss and Andre Previn. The orchestra produced a series of commercial LP records for the Pye, Argo, Unicorn and CBS labels. Take a look at my LSSO memorabilia website for further information (see link below).
