Alright lets run with that idea of accidents, and the probability of that accident occuring. So, we are given an extremely minute chance that life may occur, and all the time in existence. It may take billions of years for that accident to occur but quite frankly do not forget *we have* an *infinite* amount of time. It does not matter how long it takes, and the perception of how long it takes does not matter to your individual consciousness.

Stating that the occurance of life was an accident does not demean the purpose of life, it just is. It doesn't take the magic out of any one human beings life. And if the probability of evolution occuring, well lets say it will take a long time for evolution to take momentum but we have an infinite amount of time. It makes no difference.

If the solar system was brought about by an accidental collision, then the appearance of organic life on this planet was also an accident, and the whole evolution of Man was an accident too. If so, then all our present thoughts are mere accidents--the accidental by-product of the movement of atoms. And this holds for the thoughts of the materialists and astronomers as well as for anyone else's.
