GOD bless your baby. I'm so sorry that happened. I have a friend with two (severely)autistic children and I admit that I still know so little about it. I know more now then when they were diagnosed but still don't understand it completely. Your video touched me deeply and gives me a new outlook on what my friend is going through.

What is it that is special about children that have Autism? I have never known what it is even though I have heard people say they are special. I have had several encounters with Autistic people over the past 12 years, but I only saw the negitive parts of Autism. I wondered what it is that is special about them.

I have a child with fragile X syndrome and aspergers. He is high functioning though and as he nears 18 (in June) he will be able to find some type of job and should lead a good independent life. He did get very early intervention and excellent special education all the way up till the 9th grade. He in his childhood though was a hard child to raise. He had no fear of real things but feared odd things like soft cloth and stripes. He would wander towards danger often. For him it was not water but moving things like big trucks and trains. If he heard a jake brake or a construction rig somewhere he would go looking for it. I was lucky and seeing your videos reminds me of just how lucky I was. I'm very sorry for your loss and ever so thankful that you have used your terrible loss to help educate other parents.
