The departure of Pop Legend Michael Jackson.

His death 2 weeks ago followed by this week's memorial to his Life.. his Music and his Dance held in Los Angeles.

It's clear he was great but was he as Motown Founder, Berry Gordy said "The Greatest Entertainer who ever lived.." I'm not sure.. He was undoubtedly one of the best.

50 year old Pop Superstar, Michael Jackson collapsed suddenly at his home in West Los Angeles and was pronounced dead of a Cardiac Arrest on Thursday the 25th of June 2009.

Also bidding us farewell as he retires is QTQ Channel 9 News Anchor, Bruce Paige.. who read his last Bulletin on Friday the 26th of June.

G'day .. I have been collecting Promos,IDs, News items and clips from here in Australia and around the world since 1977.

Many of the Videos posted have been recorded either on BETAMAX or VHS and have been converted to DVD and then XviD, DivX and WMV for upload. These Videos were recorded in various locations in line with where I was working at the time, here in Australia and around the World.. Lucky they lasted the distance to be posted here on YouTube.

Videos dated 1988 onwards were recorded in STEREO, however some may sound mono because the Broadcasters in some regional areas where I recorded them were not yet transmitting in stereo.

Thanks again for all the positive feedback you have given me so far.. I will endeavour to continue bringing more priceless memories to video life in 2009 and the years to come.

Michael Jackson 1958 - 2009

Michael Jackson suddenly collapsed and died on the 25th of June 2009 in Los Angeles.

The LA Coroner has revealed no foul play and while an official Autopsy Report won't be publicly revealed for some weeks, it's thought possible abuse of prescription medication and stress may have led to a massive and fatal Heart Attack.

Jackson was a Pop Legend and a Superstar and despite a troubled private life contributed so much to modern music across the world.

Bruce Paige - News Anchor

Bruce Paige has been a familiar face on Brisbane and Queensland Television screens for close to 40 years.

Beginning at ABC TV in Brisbane in 1971.. Bruce made the switch to commercial TV and QTQ Channel 9 in 1985. He spent 1 year as Anchor of TEN's "Evening News' in 1990 and close to 3 years with QTV in Townsville as co-Anchor of it's "Eyewitness News" from 1991 to 1993 before returning to Brisbane and Channel 9 in December 1993.

He announced his decision to retire on Wednesday night the 17th of June 2009.

He brought forward his initial July 10 departure and said goodbye to viewers on Friday night the 26th of June.

He won't dissappear completely into retirement. He says he will contribute to 9 Brisbane's 50th Anniversary Special in August and will Anchor 9 News in Brisbane over the next Summer.

He says together with his wife and family they'll explore the world a little more and says QUOTE.. "It really won't be Goodbye but rather see you later".
