Name: Atanu Ghosh

After completing post-graduation in journalism, I started my career in 1996 as scriptwriter and director of documentary films, the first series being 'Pioneers of Indian Science' for Doordarshan National Network. Thereafter, I branched out to fictional serials and telefilms. I received Doordarshan National Award for Best Children's telefilm ('Aar ek Bampi') in 2002. Another telefilm ('Akashchhoan') was selected for the 10th International Kolkata Film Festival, 2004. 'Sumitra Online' was selected for the Telesamman Award for the Best Telefilm of 2004 and "Asamapto" the Best Director Award of 2006. Till date, I have directed 23 telefilms. I have also worked as scriptwriter and editor for many eminent directors. Also, I have directed over 30 documentary and corporate films for many reputed organizations.

	priyainstat (1 year ago) I loved Asamapto and Sumitra Online the most. In Asamapto, there was a song 'Ami swapone tahare kuraye peyechi'. If I am not wrong it is an Atulproshadi song and it was sung by Sayantani Majumdar. I literally cried when I heard this song in a very touchy moment in this film. It will be very great if Atanuda can kindly upload that video here. Looking forward to see the video and hear the song again.....and I must say thanks a lot to Atanuda for uploading these wonderful videos...

	Rooafza (1 year ago) a very gripping story with a distinct touch of the urban reality characteristic of the late 1990's...refreshing performance by Mamata Shankar. The others also tried to do justice to their respective roles. The ending is very sensitive and touchy. Keep up the good work!

In fact Atanu's team comprising of Soumitrababu (my all time favourite Obhineta), Indrani, Koushik, Badsha, Gargi, Oporajita, have a grand chemistry . with atanu being a fine storyteller about Urban life with a touch of refined bangaliana, I just love watching glimpses from his film. In my porobaas - they remind me of my 'home' and everything that is related to my home (Do women have a home ever in their ever changing schedule of shifting and readjustment?).
