This is a REALLY ROUGH version, but I decided not to keep you guys waiting any longer. There are a lot of fuck ups, and I get off times in the intro and a few other places. So if you see a part and you're like "He's not supposed to slide up there", or "He did that too many times", you know why. I am using my practice Peavy 2x12 for this. It is quite noisy, and unfortunately I had to sit pretty close to it to record this due to lack of space hence all the annoying feedback during the behind the bridge picking. He uses delay flange wah and a slide for this.

This is my acoustic version. I filmed it twice, once from each side, and tried to blend the two without interrupting the song. As this song has virtually no improvisation, my two versions were pretty much identical anyway. If you'd like to learn this song, be prepared to take your time, it will take awhile.

I play all songs through my headphones from an iPod, then mix the video on iMovie with the song from iTunes. Unfortunately, my iPod plays the songs slightly faster, about 1/2 a second over 6 minutes. Therefore, I broke the video for this song into 5 pieces.

It is critical that every drummer develop their own unique style and interpretation. Therefore, I do not memorize any song exactly. I have spent 30 years playing drums and have developed my own style, which I prefer. I keep my playing within the framework of the song and will play a part exact if that part is either iconic (like Phil Collins In The Air Tonight) or critical to the success of the song.
