Youtube vient de lancer « Project Direct » un concours de court métrage mettant au défi les YouTubeurs de réaliser un court métrage original incorporant trois pré requis définis par Jason Reitman, le réalisateur primé de Thank You For Smoking et de Juno bientôt en salle.

Les 20 meilleurs courts métrages seront choisis par Jason Reitman lui-même et par des professionnels du cinéma. Le gagnant final du concours sera ensuite choisi par la communauté YouTube.

Le gagnant verra son court métrage présenté à un festival de cinéma international,et assistera également à des événements cinématographiques inédits où il aura l'occasion de rencontrer les directeurs de Fox Searchlight Pictures. Le court métrage gagnant sera diffusé sur la page d'accueil mondiale de YouTube et recevra un prix de 5000$.
