Aqualand is the world's largest inland marina. Situated in a lush, natural setting on Lake Sidney Lanier, this serene haven seems worlds away from the hustle and bustle of the city while only a short drive from downtown Atlanta.
Nestled in the foothills of the Georgia Blue Ridge Mountains lies Lake Sidney Lanier, a remarkable manmade reservoir created by the construction of the Buford Dam, which was completed in 1956. The Buford Dam harnesses the waters of two rivers the Chattahoochee and the Chestatee, which both start in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Power generation and recreation activity began June 15, 1957. When the reservoir reaches full pool its elevation is 1071 feet above sea level. At this level Lake Lanier provides 692 miles of winding shoreline and about 39,000 acres of water surface for your boating enjoyment. We invite you to relax and let the tranquil landscape of our 144 acres transport you away from your everyday.
