Our main interests and hobbies are finding effective ways at helping our surrounding community with their needs. This is achieved by providing free services, programming, access to computers, through free computer classes, and so much more. The Abilene Public Library has much to offer you so make sure to check us out.
Movies:
We offer many movies and tv shows provided on DVD at both locations of the Abilene Public Library. Both classics and new releases, adult titles and children's, we have a wide selection that will appeal to all. Check them out for free, and you may take up to 10 videos at a time that check out for 7 days.
Music:
The Main Branch of the Abilene Public Library located at 202 Cedar Street offers a selection of popular music CDs in all genres. Additionally, through our Overdrive service, you can even download music, for free, to your computer and portable MP3 devices. Make sure to contact us for details.
Books:
As a library, one thing we know are books and we have a great selection of books to offer you. Whether you're looking for non-fiction, fiction, children's, graphic novels, bestsellers, manga, young adult, and more, we have what you're looking for. Check out as many as you want for 3-weeks at a time.
