One of the most prominent active Extreme Metal acts in Spain, ANVIL OF DOOM is a Death Metal band from Jerez de la Frontera, Andalusia.
Their debut album, "DEATHILLUSION" (Xtreem Music, 2004), received very positive reviews from both national and international media. Since then, Anvil of Doom have appeared at many festivals along with international bands, like Exodus, Megadeth, Annihilator, Kreator or Testament, among many others, while starting to be considered as a relevant band in the Spanish Extreme Metal scene.
After a break due to line-up restructuring, the band issued their EP "Turn Your Back" in 2011 as an advance for their second full-length to be released in 2012. The EP announcement was supported by an extensive tour, which made the band appear live in many Spanish cities never visited before, including shows next to international myths like Pestilence, Malevolent Creation and Inquisition.
