Silver II Rifle Case By Maxpedition ammosmith - 332 views - 1 week ago
The Silver II Rifle case is a very rugged two gun case that's offered by Maxpedition. I highly recommend this case to anyone who wants a low profile case for weapons transport.
It's great for AR15's with 16" barrels and to hold extra uppers.

Here's the link to purchase this gear.

missouriman1972 Conclusion to Case Forming ammosmith - 1,964 views - 10 months ago
Here's the resulting cases that I formed, let me know if this helps. Look at the case neck, you'll see very little deformation from oil dents. I used RCBS Case Lube 2. Imperial Sizing Wax works well too. Remember the case is thicker so reduce your load by about 8-10% and then fireform. You MUST get a neck turning tool to get these to chamber with a bullet seated in the case. Sinclair sells them and so does MidwayUSA. The case neck is very thick because the 30-06 case wall is now the neck.

missouriman1972 , Answer to Case Forming ammosmith - 2,280 views - 10 months ago
Making a radical case forming operation using a 30-06 to 250 Savage. I don't have .243 Winchester dies anymore. They were part of the Savage model 99 .243 I sold a while back. The .250 Savage is as close to a .243 as I can get. The trim length of a .243 is 2.035" and the .250 Savage trim length is 1.902", so the case forming operation isn't disimilar. In fact I think the .250 Savage conversion might be a bit trickier. Just watch the build up of lubricant on the shoulder as you go. It builds as the shoulder is pushed back...that's where the dents form most often. Manage the lube build up and your oil dents will minimize. Let me know your progress and shoot me any questions you might have missouriman1972.

Making a Overall Length Guage ammosmith - 8,825 views - 10 months ago
How to make your own overall length guage on your reloading bench. What this does is allow you to take a empty cartridge case and make a OAL guage that is cheap and one that works. Once you take your initial measurement you should repeat the process three times to confirm the data you're getting. Once you know the measurement set your seating depth deeper by .010" initially. The reason is the seating die seats off the ogive. Bullet tips vary due to manufacturing process but the ogive is constant. Knowing this you'll improve your accuracy potential conciderably. You can experiment to find the "sweet spot". Once you find the best OAL write it down. If you're like me you have several bullets that you use for different shooting scenarios.

Love your videos on handloading. The 9x19mm Luger to 9x18mm Makarov case conversion was the best. I have shot over a hundred rounds now using that conversion with out a hitch.

Thanks for taking the time to put together these videos. They are very informative and well laid out. Takes a lot of the intimidation out of handloading for the first timer.

The new back ground pic I posted is there to torment the fascist anti-hunters....and I am happy to say it already is working. There is a severe over population of ground squirrels on alfalfa ranches as you probably know. That squirrel was shot with a 204 Ruger....I love the colorful red flash. Who said blood can't be pretty....
