STORY OF A SAGE Nobody knew his age for sure. The saint and master Sri Bharatgiri Maharaj was the contemporary of Sri Shirdi Saibaba, the famous Indian yogi. Both of them were said to have trained under the same Guru. Going by all the information one could sum up about him he was at least 130 years old when he passed away in 2001. This is the story of his discovery of Sri Bhagavan. March 7th 1949. On a mountaintop in Junagadh, the saint sat contemplating and praying. "Lord, I know not my role in your scheme of things. Man has become the very antitheses of love and compassion. I am disheartened at the condition of men. " As he sank deeper and deeper into helplessness and prayer, he heard a voice from the heavens, which in India goes by the name of 'Akashvani', announcing to him, "It is not yours to worry any more. On this very day I have incarnated to transform humanity. You would meet me when I grow up. Recognize me then through this form." And the saint watched in a trance the image of a man with both his arms extended in an all embracing call, towering from the earth to the heavens. At the same time, a small village in the South of India was celebrating the birth of an infant. The entire village took an immense pleasure in welcoming the child amidst them. Joy and revelry had infected everyone. Sri Bhagavan had incarnated. Saint Bharatgiri Maharaj descended the hill that day with great peace and assurance. Days rolled by. All the time he was on the look out for the signs of the incarnation. He worked tirelessly for the betterment of man even as he waited for the promise to come true. However, as the new millennium came round the corner, hope and determination slowly gave way to anxiety. He had already crossed 120. Could he carry-on anymore with the rapidly failing health? Why hasn't the Avatar revealed himself yet? He intensified the search, but no result remotely matched the vision on the mountaintop. Then one day, on his way to a discourse, he saw a long procession winding its way on the opposite side of the road. At the head of the procession was a life size picture of someone robed in yellow with his hands outstretched. The saint knew him at once. He immediately sent a disciple to get more details. They matched exactly with the revelation. Wave after wave of relief flooded him. He would not pass away without setting his eyes at least once upon the Lord in human form after all. However, as though the body was aware that its quest had come to an end, his health failed totally. The doctors would not allow him to travel such a distance since there was no way his ancient body could put up with the strain. But the saint wouldn't hear of it. He struggled hard for a few months to build himself up for the travel. After a few months, the day dawned when the saint made it to the Golden City in a holy pilgrimage along with 22 of his chief disciples. The meeting between him and Sri Bhagavan was most heart touching and sacred. Bhagavan waited at the door to welcome him. The senior disciples waved lamps to him. Bhagavan embraced the shrunken body of the saint as he would embrace a most delicate flower and later led him to his seat holding his hand. This scene remains etched forever in the consciousness of all those who witnessed it that day. In an ancient voice the saint expressed his adoration to Sri Bhagavan and then said, "Now that I have found you, I have no more concerns. The time has come for me to quit. Bhagavan, these are my chief disciples. From now they are yours. Lord, please grant them Mukti (liberation)." His disciples paid obeisance to Sri Bhagavan. Soon after he returned, he quit the earth plane to become one with the Divine.

Three Positions while Receiving with palms open upwards and fingers stretched outwards you can rest the hand on your thigh:
(1) First Position for first 7 minutes of 21 minute deeksha: Top of index finger touching the top of the thumb (for each hand) -
First seven minutes. Visualize (either staring at the Shri Murthi of Amma and Bhagavan or with eyes closed) your wishes. It is better to visualize (Visualize to Materialize) since the visualization is independent of language and is very potent by bringing in clarity. It is important to stay with the solution (not your problem). Example: If you have bills to pay, do not visualize those bills, but visualize a shower of gold coins or of hundred dollar bills by angels hovering above (Blessings from Heaven).
(2) Second Position of Jnana Mudra for second 7 minutes segment of 21 minute deeksha: Top of index finger touching the middle of the thumb with thumb upright (for each hand)
Ask that all relationships in your life or in all directions of time be set right. Visualize the faces of your loved ones, those with whom you wish to set right relationships, or those in need and send them your love and healing.
(3) Third Position for third 7 minutes segment of 21 minute deeksha: Top of index finger touching the bottom of the thumb with thumb upright (for each hand)
Ask that you get Enlightenment/Oneness/Further. Wish for Sharana-gati - a total state of surrender to the Divine.
Do you know why the Blessings are given in 7 minute segments? There are 7 major chakras from the Mooladhaara (Root Chakra at the perenium region) to the Sahasraara (Corwn Chakra on top of your head). For each chakra it takes 30 seconds to cleanse and 30 seconds to activate (For those who have done a lot of samskara shuddhi - 30 seconds will be enough).

Kalash is a copper or brass pot. It is filled 2/3 or half with water or with rice and some mango leaves are placed at the mouth of the pot with a coconut nestled in the arrangement of leaves.
Metal resonates very well and all the prayers/mantras etc, will energize the copper or brass pot that retains the energies of the Divine Blessings for a long time. This copper pot or brass pot delivers/infuses what I describe as "booster shots" of energy over time when kept at home. This is a video of the Kalash Puja performed by Cosmic Beings and Dasajis (monks) in the Oneness Temple. Acharya Samadarshini ji explains in English, and asks people to get a clean bowl or glass of water (or copper pot if you use one in prayers) and fill it with water. Hold your palms and hand with outstretched fingers over the pot and intend that the Divine Grace and Blessings flow into the water. After the puja (prayer) ceremony, this water becomes blessed and is potent in healing. It is said, in eastern spiritual literature, that even ordinary water blessed by the Divine ones turns to powerful medicine.
Faith is what makes the Grace flow! The deeper your emotional bond, and faith the more the volume of the Grace. So the volume of Grace is directly proportional to
(1) the strength of your intent
(2) the number of people you wish to serve,
(3) the bond you have with the divine, and
(4) the faith that miracles and healings will happen, apart from your karma.
After the puja, the eldest in the family (grandparents or parents or any elder) will take the water and (with leaves from Mango or other trees) sprinkle a few drops of water from this bowl or glass onto the head and bodies of the family members and friends assembled. (You can use a spoon too). Then, chanting the moola mantra thrice, you can then sip the water (a spoonful or so) after receiving it in the cupped palm of your right hand (left palm or hand cradling the right). Acharya ji further suggests that you can use this water to heal friends or family, or others who may be ailing.
She also asks that we do not waste the water thus blessed. (Sprinkle on self, others, or sprinle it walking around the home/business to bless, then sip or drink it as something blessed by the divine). If you like this, watch this TV BroadCast segment on Samskruthi Channel (changed now to TV 1) on your PC at 9:30 EST USA Time.
