Members of the Santa Clara Valle...   more To the best of our knowledge, Sierra Swing was written as a fiddle tune by Marvin Standiford in the late eighties. Members of the Santa Clara Valley Fiddlers Association brought the tune back from a fiddle contest they attended at Weizer, Idaho and we arranged it as a guitar duet.   less

When I played in a country band in the sixties dancers would ask for a polka and a variation of the Wagner tune is what we played.
