hi Eco Rover
sorry to not answer sooner. i ll spare the story.

like any pursuit, hunting is only as compassionate, balanced, and successful as the person doing it. I know many 'fair pursuit' hunters who hunt as a kind of zen meditation, for meat ( not antlers), and to be alone.
Sincerely...

Of course, the sloppy, "Deliverance" kind of billy bob hunters are out there, make a lot more noticeable fuss, and tend to give hunting a bad name.

Lastly, when i was in grad school i was so poor that the only meat i ate was a pronghorn i killed with my own rifle. that was probably the best food i ve eaten in a long time. there is a kind of peace in knowing
you can feed yourself, without Safeway. and yes, i did thank the
pronghorn for dying.

all meant sincerely and I do thank for your remarks. Alxs

Good to see a "hunting" video on YouTube that is not merely a bunch of drunken white boys running down game on their ATVs. Although, a video showing the dark (and real) side of that would expose a common if not very spritual side of "hunting ethnography."
