NO. vergil's entire point is to be a force that collides with dante. Oh, and he's dead, too. Died how many times now? twice, I believe. Plus, a lot of people think Vergil is "cooler" than Dante, well that's how a rival/antagonist works. They're designed that way. First you fight Vergil and everyone's like "omg make him a playable character". Then a game starring vergil will inevitably feature son of sparda number four, who will be made more badass than vergil, and what do you think will happen?

Yamato and Rebellion are both mementos of sparda, they're equal swords, so why the hell did Yamato become this god-sword in DMC4? actually, yamato always was a special sword; if you read the notes about yamato in DMC3 SE, they say that yamato is a dark edged sword (notice that his metal is darker than rebellions or force edgeds) that have the power to cut through anything, even the time-space itself.

vergils special attack "judgement cut" or the basic one "rapid slash" he cuts the time-space to make slashes very quickly or from long distances; vergil only knew his base powers, but sparda could seal the real underworld

I wasn't saying that it wasn't special. It was forged with the essence of darkness. Rebellion was forged with pure magic essence, and force edge was forged with demonic essence. They ALL have a definitive ability, I wasn't saying that it wasn't special, but it's not unique among the swords of sparda.

It says yamato can cut through anything. Not Rebellion. Did, at any point in DMC3, you see yamato slice through rebellion? No, they are equal swords.

Don't listen to bloodberry3380, all Devil May Cry games are amazing and 2 is better than one in almost every aspect...specially gameplay, and it's challenging but not incredibly frustrating like the first one. 3 is not that great I gotta say but starts the story from the very beginning, and Devil May Cry 4 is what happened after 1 but before 2.

I think DMC 1 is better than the second in almost every aspect. DMC 2 had better moves, but DMC 1 was faster paced and had a better balance of challenge. DMC 2 was too easy, and anybody could beat it flawlessly. DMC 3 was a masterpiece and had the best story, and DMC 4 has the most innovative gameplay mechanics.
