Can you tell me what book is the one that says that you can eat fruit from 8-12 this might be the book for me. I have been on a raw diet but fruit was not allowed for the first faze of the diet. Thank you Diane
I live in on the east coast where it get below zero sometimes during winter. Is it still healthy to eat a raw diet in the winter? I lived in southern Cali for a year in experimented with raw foods and I swear I did NOT have any food graving and felt totally full, but when I went to a raw food resturant in N.Y during nov. I feel like I was constantly craving cooked foods. I really really want to go raw. Can I still go completly raw in cold wheather?
Do the best you can when you can! At-least have a smoothie or fruit for breakfast the best way to start the day. Have a big huge salad for lunch. By dinner you might be craving warm food. So have organic steamed veggies, potatoes, veggie soup, veggie burger. Get a vegan cookbook and finds some easy recipes to satisfy your cooked craving. You might find with time they go away. The more resist something the more we want it!
I think in the winter you shouldn't. Because raw doesnt have much fat and a cup of warm cooked food does help you. I live in Canada and in the winter you can lose weight while eating more, and raw food you'd have to eat all day non stop, to get what you need.
great stuff. I've been juicing for 20 years way before i got CFS this year. i go 50% raw with my expensive vitamix from costco. i love the super nutritious smoothees it produces with all the fiber intact.
What do you like to use for protein in the shakes? I use vanilla Biochem ultrafiltered whey protein isolate as it mixes and tastes so good with the rest. Do you think raw food "juicing" directly helps with the mito enzyme dysfunction in CFS? let me know if it has helped you. thanks doll!
u dont need all the reasons for eating raw. U just need the reason to not eating cooked ever again. This works so much better if u know the biggest reasons for not eating cooked again.

Oh yeah I made a mock icecream. I got strawberries and a banana and I froze them. I blended them in the food processor and added honey to sweeten more and mixed in some almond milk and froze it again for two hours and then GOODNESS! It was sooooo good!
I had soup, but instead of canned I went out and bought fresh veggies and lentils. It's a soup made of tomato's, Onion's, Celery, Lentils, and cauliflour for mock potatos. It's great. I season it with Sea Salt, Lemons and fresh ground pepper. I don't know I guess I just wasn't ready to jump into the RAW way of life 100% yet, but I do plan on sticking with how I'm doing for the rest of my life so I have to learn what works for me.
I started again...I don't think I'm going to be able to go 100% while I'm pregnant, I'd have to take a mortgage out on our house. LOL!!!! But I am looking forward to feeling better and different. I hardly have time to make videos with 4 kiddos but if I realize a big diff. I'll have to make one :0D

I love that you post videos so often, it makes my day, they are so inspirational! There is a book called "Happy Yoga" by Steve Ross. The book doesn't have much to do with yoga, but it has a wonderful section on eating raw. This book is also good for mental and spititual help/health in general, and making life better. You are purifying your body, so why not do the same to your mind and soul?, if you aren't already of course. It's a great book, and no, I'm not an advertiser.
Great advice. I find people who try to go vegan or raw and are not clear on why do not stay with it and then feel like failures. It sounds like obvious but you really must understand you motivation to get you through the challenging times. Great video

My first book on RAW was Davids ..I later got Alissa's recipe book I am very happy with both. Interestingly they both have a bit of a different perspective on RAW read them both and decide what works best for you ! Be sure to get the book GREEN for Life an excellent book about the nutritional component of raw.

Juliono's book is inspiring and pretty to look at. I have made a few things from his book. The best recipes so far are from Alissa Cohens book and the book Rawvolution Green for life ROCKS! I just ordered raw for 1 or 2 people. I think it will be good. It is hard to go from Bulimai to RAW but it is DOABLE look @ sophiegirl1~

Meat has no nutritional value literally. I am saying this from a scientific perspective purely. That is why when someone does pure atkins you go into KETOSIS the same state as when you water fast. Ketosis is a wasting state. If Atkins/Meat was so nutritional it would not put u in a wasting state. Thats fine for water *it is suppose to have no nutritional value * something to ponder =)

GIRL some folks hear about raw and convert for life the next day. I KNEW that RAW was 100% right but with an ED it was like a WAR in my mind. Now I have told ED Christina to GET over it ..it is all about HEALTH now.
The best raw protein is in Raw nuts like Almonds etc.. Also Greens ...kale,romaine lettuce, celery etc... have ALL the Amino Acids you need for protein ,,,thats where cows and gorillas etc ...get there protein from greens NOT meat.

I am going to try to buy some fruit next week and make smoothies for breakfast ....As far as salad , Ikk...It always looks and smells SOOO good , but when I take a bite I cant stand it , it actually makes me gag ...I think Im just retarded or something ..lol

Girl then you will love Alissa Cohen's book Living on Live food. Gourmet raw food is all about the texture. Thats why I made alot of gourmet raw food this week . All my craving are met now so eating lite this weekend doe not seem like a chore does that make sense?

I'm so glad that you talked about doing research. I've been reading, reading, reading, and reading some more; but felt like a colossal freak for doing it. LOL The more I learn, the greater my desire to go raw for life gets. Thank you so much for the great info. Looking forward to the next installment.

GIRL some folks hear about raw and convert for life the next day. I KNEW that RAW was 100% right but with an ED it was like a WAR in my mind. Now I have told ED Christina to GET over it ..it is all about HEALTH now.

The best raw protein is in Raw nuts like Almonds etc.. Also Greens ...kale,romaine lettuce, celery etc... have ALL the Amino Acids you need for protein ,,,thats where cows and gorillas etc ...get there protein from greens NOT meat.

i have been wonting to go raw for a loooong time i would say about 1 maybe 2 years...now i am working my way up to 100% beacause thats what i wont...anyways for a lesson thingy could you talk about sprouting ad sprouts im tottally convused...ohh btw your looking so good:]] keep it up i love the food videos where youshare what you have mad its awesome

Hey Jenn By the end of this I will have covered that PLUS alot more ...it will take awhile to cover then essentials of RAW ..I am going to try to do it in a consecutive order. I will definitely cover sprouting when I do the "cooking" part. Thank you for the suggestion
