yes i see i had sp3 once it corrupted my hard drive when i wanted to change the image of my user account everything was deleted also the system tools menu in the start menu was gone also i put 7tp on my pc it uninstalled every driver i had except for my nvidia graphics

i finally did manage 2 get rid of them by doing a Windows update which came available about 30 mins after the prob happaned (strange....) and it got rid of all the tracks =D haven't put any music on my laptop since...........

I have Windows 7 Ultimate and my Media Player (Not Media Center) corrupted all the music i had. if i tried 2 play it from Media Center it would freeze up and say it cannot play the file format (wma). go 2 the file itself and play it, and it works fine. i thought it was just corrupted so i deleted all the music but they were still in the Media Player and i couldn't get rid of them! =O

Likely, nothing. Windows Movie Maker may stop working like it did for me, however it worked again when I uninstalled Vista Inspirat.

Everything else worked fine (except, of course, Media Center)

If your computer came with a System Restore disk, try that.

Or, if you have the Windows 7 RC ISO somewhere, install it. You can still get it from some places.

Well, everyone says the problem might have been the BricoPack all along...besides, I already clean installed to SP2 because of a virus :P before I install Windows 7 (XP needs to clean install), I'll install BricoPack and see if it was the problem.

no, you have a vista transformation pack, and it shows a VISTA icon, thats why, you use that, that only does it if u have a pack, idc about all that themes, i just desktop themes, btw to get movie maker effects back just replace the one in bricopack

you dont know what your talking about. you have a trojan. i have mce and downloaded sp3 and it works fine. and just yo let you know just because you have a media center pc doesn't mean you have all the components needed for it, because mine didn't come with a tuner, i bought it seperately. Your hardware drivers are probably outdated or not even installed, because those are the errors you get when that is true

However if you want Media Center the application,

a. Get Vista Premium or Ultimate

b. Torrent XP MCE (illegal)

c. Wait for Windows 7 and get Home Premium, Professional, or Ultimate

That does not happen only on MCE, I've tested many more editions of windows from 2000 till Vista (expt for HomeP and Ultimate). The vista insipra themecan screw up the transitions in Movie Maker (and more),and to fix that is to restore from a backup w/out, or to reformat the hard drive and start from scratch and stop customizing your system. Believe me, I do ICE and IPT (that is - Information and Communication Education, or IEC for other peeps and IPT means Information, Process and Technology).

my mce 2005 machine (dell dimension e310) didnt have any probs with sp3 :D the modifications youve done to your interface have mested with your system files. i tried that vista mod once.... omg it screwed up my xp mce installion so bad i had to reinstall.... ur best bet is to reinstall windows xp or do a recovery (like i did on my e310)
