I see the story of Daksha Yagnam is totally dramatized wrongly. It would be great if we can get a reference of the source where there was afight between Shiva and Sati.

As far as I know, Sati never returned to Kailasam, after she is insulted by her father. She sets herself ablaze at the spot of yagna itself. I never heard of the argument between Shiva and Sati shown in this movie and its strange, that Sati is been burnt into ashes by Shiva himself.

To prevent him from doing so, Sati took the ten forms of Dasa mahavidya and stopped him from moving in the ten directions. After seeing the goddess' ten forms, Shiva realized who Sati actually was and allowed him to go to the yagnam,

Regarding the ultimate lord, it is how you look at God. God is one and his manifestations are different. His various forms are Ganesha ,Shiva, Sakthi, Vishnu, Kumara , Surya, Ayyappa , Allah, Jesus, Jehovah and so on...

The divine force which exists (Para Brahman) manifests as Vishnu, Sakti, Shiva, Ganesha, Muruga , Ayyappa based on one's bhakti. It is like the story of 6 blind men trying to characterize and describe an elephant. Neither of us actually knows what the elephant looks like. So for you it is Lord Shiva who is the eternal force. For me it is Sri Lalitha Mahatripurasundari. So it is all in the perspective.

It was Sakthi who helped Karaikal Ammaiyar reach Thiruvalangadu.

Sakthi resides in Brahma, Vishnu, Rudra, Isaana and Sadasiva. It is she who gives them form and the energy for them. For Brahma, she becomes Saraswathi. For Mahavishnu, she becomes Mahalakshmi. For Maharudra, she becomes Mahakali. For Isaana she becomes Gauri and for Sadasiva she become sri Lalitha Maha tripura sundari.
