  • naturally the 2 dumbest comments get the up thumbs...

  • malcolm gladwell sounds really smart when he isn't talking about politics

  • where were all you ron paul people in 2000 when nader was running?

  • I have a vision of Americans in their 80s being wheeled to their offices and factories having lost their legs in imperial wars and their pensions to Wall Street speculators and with bitter memories of voting for a President who promised change, prosperity and peace and then appointed financial swindlers and war mongers.

  • Oh, brother

Barack Obama told his disappointed supporters who voted for him on the promise of change only to find him appoint old Clintonites and Bush cabinet members not to be upset I am the change.

  • It is clear to everybody in the world that our government has no idea what the hell it is doing and they are just grasping at straws.

It also doesn't help that our president is more concerned about NCAA Brackets and Campaigning and going on Jay Leno, when he should be at the Oval Office reigning in his party and calling every single person with an alternate idea.

  • Oh come on. They know very well what they're doing. (Being whores to money and power)

  • Which candidate is anti-war? Obama, who has threatened Iran, made hostile statements about Russia, in ignorance of the real situation, who has warmonger Joe Biden as a VP candidate, has Madeline Albright as an advisor, has promised to defend Israel, and wants to put more troups in Afghanistan? If that is antiwar, then I guess every imperialist is also antiwar.

  • obama is doing exactly what bush was doing but instead of iraq it afganstan

  • Ohhhhhh rachael, the reason he is being criticized before he is in office...IS bcause he is already trying to run the show! he never knew his place and he does not know it now!

  • Well, well, here we R a few weks later & BHO's true colors R showing. He is a mess, his cabinet picks R loaded with corruption & half cant get sworn in. What did we expect? He laid down with pigs, you dont think he was gonna come out smelling like a rose do ya? What an embarrassment! I wish he would just come clean, call off his $800K attorneys & let us see all of his sealed stuff, would be nice to know if he actually graduated from these schools who wont say yes or no...then admit he has no plan.

  • BO has ZERO qualifications. McCain would've brought the freshest reform 2 the corruption in government. BO puts the evil & corrupt back in power.

  • Expect Harvard law school

  • HA and NEVER had a career in law. Whoopi-doo. Look who paid his way thru school. He was a failure as a community organizer. He was a failure as a State Senator, too. See the new movie: Hype: The Oboma Effect. Also: Hillary: The Movie.

He never wrote a law paper... expect something ridiculous on an aborted child suit against it's mother.

  • Jesse Ventura and/or Ron Paul - 2012

  • I will reference Frank Sinatra: "Send in the Clowns!'

Americans are better than this. Wake up my friends. Vote your Congressmen out of office.

  • To begin with, if I were him I would be sorta embarrassed to have someone on my staff who actually got more VOTES than I did. If not for slippery games played by the DNC she would have burried him. She DOES bury him when it comes to BRAINS, BREEDING, CLASS and LOYALTY TO COUNTRY. She lost my confidence when she would not tell him No thanks & tell the world what she really knows & thinks about him. The man is scum, corrupt Chigago Machine, scum. He just prooved that playing dirty wins it. Yuck!

  • and what do you go by, please post a link to an article that supports what you have said and i will read and consider it.

  • R U kidding me? Sure U R but thats ok,I can take it.Look,I can dig the near 100% Black vote BO got. Most were very truthful @ exit polls, they just wanted a Black president.I dont agree with the mentality, but I respect their rights to it. But we are NOT gonna try to make a silk purse out of a sows ear now are we? He is what he is, a liar, a fake, lacks character etc. It still goes on! TODAY he made Axelrod change his statement that he knew Obama had been in touch with the Illinois Gov. Fearless!

  • A silver lining is that black voters out-poll white voters in state ballot referenda regarding gay marriage and abortion.

Simply stated: Black voters are more Pro-Life and Anti-Gay marriage than white voters.

    Why? Why?

  • Well Eap77, not being a Black person myself, I can only guess. But I would say it is because (regardless of how Black's voted to support obama), many Black citizens have been raised in, or still worship at deeply Christian based churches. The human part of them wanted to see a Black man in the oval office, but thier moral fiber makes them unable to support Left Wing agenda. As I said it is just an opinion, but I thiunk it may account for the duplicity.

  • I can tell you first hand.

Black people are raised in the "church"

even though the Vatican controls all religion, it simple really.

Black people are taught to support such things.

(being black I would know, I use to go to church on sunday, then found out it was made up)

The only change we will have is in our pockets, and they about to take that as well.

  • It's really ridiculous how the republicans are noticing all of a sudden every questionable thing Obama is doing when they spent the last 8 years rooting for Bushbozo under almost every concievable circumstance.

Politics on the street leval between the Repubs and democrats in the U.S. is just tribal on both sides. Everyone sticks up for their side under even the most insane circumstances. It's all "us v.s. them." now. At least on the Youtube message-boards...

  • How many times has it been said that these Washington bums are all in bed together?

They all live like hi-rollers off your tax money. They stick together. Promise ya this, they're going to protect that hi-roller lifestyle at any cost.

They're a gang, a gang of thieves and liars.

Hillary is more interested in world travel as a gov't bigshot than any State Department mission. Do you have any idea what her travels and entertainment are going to cost the taxpayers? She could give a damn!

  • This whole adminstration sucks!!

    pailin 2012

  • palin 2012? I'd rather blow up than see her president - she's crazy and so are you

  • I THINK CHANGE IS BEST MEASURABLE DURING HIS TERM AS PRESIDENT.

To judge beforehand is massively pointless at this stage. We must see what Obama does. As it goes leading up to his presidency, America couldn't be in a worse state.

It won't be easy for Obama. He probably won't look good for a while. However while I will hold my critique sharply at Obama like all citizens should, I wait for him to actually be in the job before I judge.

  • wanting to be president of the united states at this time is like wanting to be the captain of the TITANIC after it hit the ICEBERG, and i believe he will be in the same position as the captain of the TITANIC, he can BAIL as much as he wants the ship is still doomed to sink.

  • The biggest problem with Clinton was his willingness to compromies with neo-cons and his skeletons (which he acquired while President). The age of the neo-con has come and gone and we see what they're capable of (ie not much execept ruining every policy they dared to touch). Their bark was worse than their bite and now Obama doesn't have to cave to them out of fear. Clinton had plenty of good people working for him, he himself played into the GOP hands too often.

  • there wan't that is. While we were busy still disputing the election, BUSH was bringing all kinds of corporatists (including himself) into the White House and a bunch of goons from what has had to be the most corrupt administration in recent years, the Nixon administration and ERGO he has a bunch paranoid secretive greedy thugs running the show.

  • The PUNDITS are running out things to talk about. Another manufactured issue. Should we bring in a bunch of fresh faces neophytes from Alaska or some corporatists to run departments that their business interests benefit from if ran according to their special interest. Or maybe we can get people like John Bolton (who doesn't much believe in multilateralism) as UN ambassador or Sec of Education who wants to ignore public schools. There was anything near this kind of criticism of Bush's cabinet.

  • Change my ass. Sounds more like recycling!

  • Oh boy!! Obama just sank his own boat before he hit the water!! What "change"!! The new Clinton administration is shaping up!! It shows obama has NO new ideas or experience or direction or vision or wits or anything else. What a fool.

  • I can't believe people thought he did. The change we needed was a third party because both the democrats, and republicans are not working. Ron Paul was the answer.

  • midwest26, I don't agree that "Ron Paul was the answer", but only because I believe it would have been difficult for him to have people follow him as a leader. Sorta just because of his semi-awkward social delivery, sad as that is to admit. His ideas, or definitely the ideas of a third party, is for sure what this country needs though. In other words, I'm 90% agreeing with you.

  • I cant believe hes letting the bitch even step foot in the white house. Hillary and Bill have been stealing money from China , Saudi Arabia ,and now hes picking her ,Big CHANGE

  • Think about this analogy from football. It's like hiring a new head coach to coach a team and having that team perform even better than before. It's the "same" players (with a few new free agents and draft picks-but essentially the same team); but, they learn a new system, refine their skills, a few change positions to maximize their abilites. A team that just misses the playoffs becomes a perennial SuperBowl contender.

  • that is what the detroit lions have been doing for the last 15 years.

it worked really well for them(sarcasm)

  • so dissapointing......

  • Most of the criticism here (in the video and the comments) thrives on assumptions that Obama's choice of former Clinton people as officials is bad because they've held such positions in the past.

No one explains the problem here. Instead I see the use of simplistic, seductive terms like "they're washington elites!" - terms that could, themselves, be critiqued.

There's no critique here, the tactic is to frame statements of fact with question marks so as to foster obvious doubts among an audience.

  • Technically, Rumsfeld and Cheney were "Washington Elites", spending decades in politics for various governments. Didn't stop them from fucking it up, yet gaining undeserved support from Republican voters.

  • fact is that obama has no experience whatsoever in ruling the world politics previous, he is recruiting all those who the world dont wish to see in power, what change is there if he brings the same, eh?

  • Nada--read what you wrote here--does it make any sense to you?

  • can you please clarify what was about my comment was not comprehensive, have I said something offensive, or just my opinion of what I view is going to happen in the future, no change, yet it is too early to judge obama, but again, if he elects clinton while she voted iraq war, that is one point to press on that change has to be from the roots, not only the surface. just my views right.

  • I bet you were saying that on Nov. 5 anyway. Your aversion to his selections means little, esp if you suggest no alternatives. He's the president, you're not. If you're ready to piss all over his choices before you see any results, then yours is hardly a rational perspective. Or did you somehow want him to pick 100% "trainees" for every cabinet post?

If Clinton turns out to be a bad Secy of State, he can dump her & pick another. Given her ambitions, I doubt she'd fuck it up. Try the decaf.

  • Change??

    Really??

He seems like a CLINTON PAWN to me.

    But what do I know?

    Good Luck,

  • You might want to move as soon as possible!! Go, man, GO!!

  • After looking at your page, I won't bother to reply.

    "Hobbies = Money".......

    Pfffffffffffffffffffffffff

  • Obama has got to be realistic he can't just pick somebody new he has got to pick someone that has experince and gone through real suitation and had been truely tested in a time of crisis.

  • are you guys done bashing Hillary ? Change? Did you really expect there to be changes? You have to be an idiot to believe that rhetoric in the first place.

  • we cant criticize the changes obama makes till heis in a position to make changes..until then let that man make HIS cabinet. He is not passive or easily swayed..Presidnet makes the decisions...the others adhere

  • I just dont like Clinton as state. What about dodd, or was it richardson that had foriegn policy experience.

Besides, has it even become official that hes chosen clinton yet or is this video still based on the rumor of a clinton pick?

Besides, how is it drama just to pick clinton because it was leaked?

Its the media not creating drama, we havent heard anything from obamas team since the leak.

The media is so immature with this, libs and repubs.

  • Eight years of Bush has meant anyone with *recent* foreign policy experience is a Republican, so if Dem-friendly FP experience is the job's main qualification, it's not a big pool to fish from.

I've never liked Clinton, but I'm not churlish enough to challenge O's reasons for selecting her. Couldn't we chill a bit? It's possible she'll be a lot better at running the State Dept than she ever was as Senator or President-wannabe. Some people don't find their niche until they stumble into it.

  • Huh? The problem is that we all disagree with her opinions on what our foriegn policy should be.

This isnt about a calling or competence, its about our opinion of her ideas.

Besides, while she may have gone against her people when it comes to the war, as far as i understand she has been an otherwise good senator. Sadly youtube doesnt allow links.

But do you have a specific search that results in a good article explaining why she was a bad senator?

Though, i agree she was a bad pres-wannabe

  • WTF? Who are you to claim "we all disagree"?! You're not the arbiter of other individuals' opinions; and nobody needs to pony up a third-party source to validate their approval or disapproval of Hillary's (or anyone's) record as senator (or anything). If you're saying you'll acknowledge only those views that some pundit or news organ has decreed to be Truth, you're too confused to talk to.

  • Mark99k:

    Fucking Shill.

Why do you have "subscribers" when you have NOTHING ON YOUR PAGE?

  • travelinguy06 - Beats me. I've seen others with the same kinds of pages. If I were trying to fake a subscriber base, it'd be pretty stupid to leave it at 3, eh? That said, I'm not obligated to post a page for you to look at. If you can't argue my points without personal info to attack me on, I'm happy to step around your puddle.

I don't care if you think I'm a "shill," but I notice "shill" seems to be the new codeword for anyone who isn't a sputtering dickless redneck.

  • No, you are mistaken.

A "Shill" is a person who serves no purpose but to support the establishment.

Whether it be a casino or the Government.

Obama won on a "Change" platform.

    He LIED!

Clinton and the rest of his appointments are old time Washington Elites.

You would be advised to stop bantering with me and get your house in order for times more difficult than you can even imagine.

    Carry on,

  • Shill: One posing as a satisfied customer or enthusiastic gambler to dupe bystanders into participating in a swindle.

Banter: To speak in a playful or teasing way.

So youre wrong on both, little man. And if you think your attitude or credentials qualify you to silence people here, you're mistaken and incidentally a borderline fascist. BTW real marines don't sit at their PCs growling into the void. If you dont like Obamas choices, this is one of the stupidest places to complain about them.

  • Really.

I hope you do well this next 12 months.

  • I can see that people may not like Obama's choices, but when being critical it only makes sense to suggest alternatives. Change shouldn't be for change's sake - you can't just hire someone off the street. That would certainly be change, but it wouldn't do any good.

  • Obama seems to want people with a lot of experience. I don't blame him for that.

The times we are facing need people that are ready to hit the ground running - he cannot start too fresh.

  • that's what iv'e been say
