  • Comment removed

  • That was pree good C:

Try to not lean forward so early. Let it come naturally.. Otherwise your a good little rider !

  • not bad i suppose.........

  • well done!! love the music, really compliments the vid :)

  • Great job for your first time! Just remember to keep your heels down and ypour leg stable as you go over the jump. I would also recommend keeping your hands closer together on the flat, arching your back a bit more in the two point, and keep him straight over the poles. And not that I encourage crops, but perhaps use it a bit more. One or two taps with the crop is better than 20 huge kicks with your leg. But it was amazing for your first time! Great job :D

  • good job! i remember my jumping lesson like it was yesturday! we trotted over a vertical and i haddn't even realized it was a jump until after!

  • Really good for a first jumping lesson, better than I did. Try squeezing your calves instead of kicking, squeezing is more effective and will help your leg to stay in place while you're jumping. You'll be a pro in no time.

  • @AmaneeChaan thanks(: yeah arthur's quite stubborn and lazy, so squeezing doesn't always work with him(:

  • @ILoveLotsOfStuff

If that doesn't work then try squeezing with the tip of your heel, you may push you heel up slightly in a "scooping" way but don't push them up too far or it will not look pleasant, just do it kind of "discretely". Good Luck! ;D

  • bravo!!! that was good!!! how old r u on this video??? sine this is ur 1st.

  • @KimmyBoo701 thanks! i was 14, and i'd been riding for 10/11 months i think?(:

  • that pony looks like he/she is lazy

  • @sugarmypaint1 yeah he is... very lazy :L

  • @hanna52901 haa thank you for telling mee:L thanks(:

  • @ILoveLotsOfStuff yeah but i bet ur a great rider now :)

  • im sure you are a lot better now but, try not to let your horse cut right away, try to stay straighter

  • @Randyluvx100 thanks for the advice(:

  • you did so well but can I just point out one thing?? when you come in to to the jump try not to kick your legs at his sides so much because its making it harder for your horse to jump it:)) hope the advice helps!! great job other wise!!

  • @cmarino8 ahh yeaah i found that out :L thanks for the advicee though(: thanks!

  • @ilovejumping101 i hardly ever get anyone to film now, because i help out at the stables so its hard for people to film, but i make sure i get this kind of thing filmed!

  • you did really good :) the only thing i would have to comment on would be the 2-point over the jumps, but i'm sure you've already fixed that :)

  • @PineapplePaintHorse thanks(: ahaa i'm aware of it, not sure about the fixing part :P

  • Awesome for your first time!!! I love the way all of your jumps are painted. (:

  • @cookiepony he hasn't got a bit?

    he's wearing a hackamore :L

  • @ILoveLotsOfStuff no no he has a strong bit. is he strong?

  • @cookiepony he doesn't actually wear a bit, its kind of like a bit less bridle that he's wearing :) and no he's not strong, just incredibly lazy, and he goes much better bitless than with a normal snaffle bit :] x

  • btw have you done uprights??

    xxx

  • @ponymadprincess1 haa, yeah, but only once, and it was TINY, it's in this videoo :)

probably my best jump out of them all ;] it wasn't meant to be an upright, but the girl before me knocked it, and it suddenly became an upright :L so my instructor told me to jump it anyway :L xxx

  • @ILoveLotsOfStuff i've fallen off like 7 or 8 times. twice in that lesson

  • @ruffiangrl haha well people say you have to fall off at least 7 times to be a good rider ;) lol :P

  • @ILoveLotsOfStuff

    yees:)

i wanna start up soon cause we are missing all the good stuff.

plus this is my last week of school:)

  • lol other then the lower leg which is all over the place which seam to be because your horse didnt want to go :) but very good and ur eq is nice it will get better but very solid form for ur first time

  • @horselovergirl92 haha he just needs a bit of encouragement :L

    thank you! :) xx

  • WWOOO!!! look at you go!!!! xxxxxx

  • @Lulabelle131 loool ;)

    thank youu ;D xxxxxx

  • yay! you guys look awesome!

  • @hannahbanana623 Haha thanks! :) xx

  • That looks really good for your first time jumping:)

My only recomendation would be to go straight through your poles/jumps because you are coming out of the jump crooked which makes the jump more awkward for your horse. Just try with your poles to go straight through and keep going straight a little bit after the poles/jumps.

    Great job!

  • @jumphigh25 Thank you :)

Yeahh I noticed that happened a lot when i did the poles :L

    thanks for the advicee! :D

    thanks :) xx

  • Well done! That was fantastic for your first time! You definitely have talent :)

    Beautiful seat xxx

  • @j0d1ec Thank you so much! :)

    Thanks :D xxx

  • Yaya you look so good :D i'm a good rider now...fallen off like 10 times, 3 times in the last threee days :L xxx

  • @LuckyLaneRoyal Ahaa thank youu milly :)

    And thanks fior filmingg :D

Whaaa?! You fell off again? xxx

  • @ILoveLotsOfStuff Haha yes i did but on bryan :P xxx

  • Aww Arthur looks different! You look really good on him and I think that this was really good for your first time. Trotting over jumps and doing small jumps can be quite awkward sometimes and you're still working on timing and balance in two point so just wait a couple lessons and it will already have improved a lot! I think you're going to have great eq!

  • @Horses4Ever45 Yeahh he's got his nicee summer coat now :)

and he's lost a bit of weight too ;)

    thank you! :)

    haha yeahh :L

    thanks so much! :D xx

  • Well done :) you did really well for your first time :) xxx

  • @xalicegouldx thank you :)

    thanks :D xx

  • your did extremly well for your very first time! :)

  • @horsesrule64 whyy thank you ;) xx

  • @ILoveLotsOfStuff your welcome :) and your not smashing your legs into him! he is that kind of horse that needs a little more encouragement

  • @horsesrule64 loool ;)

ahaa yes he is! :L xx

  • Ahh well done Poppy :]

Bless him, he's like 'aww, do i have to?' :L

Eee, not so nice comments below :| You did really well for your first time though (: ♥

    loveyouu xx

  • @JellyBean069 Thank youu Tara :)

    Yeahh :L

I didn't put the clip in here, but one time we were meant to go round the jump, and he decided that actually, he did want to jump it :L

    Ooh yeashh :S :L

    thank you! :]

    loveyouutoo xxx

  • thats really good for your first time! :))

  • @ijump4lyfe thank you! :) xx

  • That was great!!

Your position is already really established and good, and you're going with the movement, I'd be proud if that was my first time.

And about the person below saying you smash your legs into him, I don't think you're kicking that much, and well it might look pretty but some ponies need it and I think Arthur is one of those ponies!

    xx

  • @deanimai thank you! :)

    awhh thanks :L

yeahh, i know I do kick quite a lot :L but I don't 'smash my legs into him' :LL

    Haha yeahh :) xxx

  • wow, poppy you look great for this being your first jumping lesson! (:

  • @iLoveMyArabianPaint thanks so much Lauren! :) xx

  • Your First Time?? .....

    Seriously??......

You look like you've done it for YEARS!!! lol! Well done!

  • @EquineLuver1998 Yeah seriouslyy :)

    haha thank you! :D xx

  • @lindsaloo3 I do use my crop (:

And I'm not 'smashing my legs into him', I'm sure my instructor would have had something to say about it now if I was. (:

If she thought I was hurting him, she would have said.

  • first time?! whaaaat?! You look amazing!

you have a naturaly good position, I cant think of much crit tbh!

    amazing xxxx

  • @AmyHorseJumper awhh lol thanks so much! :)

    thank youu :D

    thanks :] xxxx

  • stop the kicking! it looks bad. just squeeze. plzzz.

  • @mshuntjump When I ride Arthur, squeezing does nothing.

With the other horses I ride, like T.C, I only have to squeeze, so if I didnt have to kick, I wouldn't.

Thanks for the advice though. :)

  • @ILoveLotsOfStuff ok then get spurs..

  • @mshuntjump nahh :L

I don't think we're allowed to wear spurs at my riding school anyway :]

  • @ILoveLotsOfStuff ohh ok.. not even ball point rubber ones? those are VERY soft.(:

  • @mshuntjump I don't know, I've never asked :L

Never thought about wearing them tbhh :)

  • @mshuntjump don't you think that if it was a problem, her instructor would tell her to stop? And if he needed spurs that the riding school would supply them?

  • @0xKath well, not necessarily. her trainer might not be good enough trainer to tellher to stop. im not saying shes bad trainer, because ive never met her before, but i wasnt fighting with her anyway. just advice.. so bud out.

  • @mshuntjump No, she's not a bad instructor, and she would tell me to stop :]

anywhoos, thanks for the advice , but maybe in future just try to be nicer about it :) Sorry if you thought that you were being nice, it just seemed rude the way that you put it :)

  • @0xKath thank you Kathleeeeeen ;) xx

  • welldone ;D xxxx

  • @vintagehorses thanks! :)

    loveyouu <3 xxx

  • wow :) you look great! You'd never guess it's your first time jumping! Arthur looks like a brill little pony :) xx

  • @BlackberryMay thanks! :)

    ahaa thank you :D

    awhh he is! <3 xxx

  • Yaay! :DD

It gets a lot more fun when your horse jumps bigger and lifts all of his feet off the ground! But you'll have PLENTY of time to learn more! Arthur looks like such a sweetie!

You did perfectly for your first time jumping, though! So congrats! :)

    *favourited*

    xxx

  • @RockyMHorse loool ;)

yeahh looks a lot more fun too! :L

    awhh yeah he is <33

    thank youu! :)

    thanks! :D xxx

  • YAY!! Poppy you're amazing!! :) xx

aw it was good that you got ot ride Arthur for it :) x

well done that was amazing XD

I like your top btw ;) xx

    loveyouuuu :)xx
