A clear version is on DVD as a bonus feature to one of the Corelli opera performances ....I can't recall which one. But it doesn't contain the moderator's introduction nor, at the conclusion of the song, Corelli's little grin toward the moderator. He was clearly having fun on italian tv in this history of operetta series!

I think this is the only time he sang an operetta song. Rudolf Bing wanted him to sing Danilo in The Merry Widow, but Corelli could not be convinced, unfortunately.

THE ONLY OTHER TENOR THAT SPRINGS TO MIND IS FRITZ WUNDERLICH WHO REDORDED THE SONG HIMSELF. THE PICTURE IS VERY POOR.

I FOUND 2 CLIPS ON THE END OF AN OLD VHS TAPE, THAT ALOSY WENT INTO THE BIN.

I THINK IT DESERVES TO BE SEEN ONCE AGAIN
