  • These Cosmotarian Beltway Think-Tank types are NOT libertarians. They're efficiency experts for the state. Fuck these guys. Fuck Reason, fuck Cato.

  • Fun to watch.

  • @mistara31415 I don't hate, I LOVE ALL and I want the very BEST FOR ALL!

NOBODY should be ENSLAVED by the Statists... NOBODY!

ALL MUST BE FREE to succeed or fail ON THEIR OWN MERIT without Crony REDISTRIBUTION and Crony REGULATION.

Why do Statist Fascists and Socialists ALWAYS cry like little children and resort to name-calling when they realize that they are bankrupt of ideas like LIBERTY for ALL?

Why do Statists "feel good" using gov't power to enslave BOTH the Makers & Takers?

  • @mistara31415 Corporations are NOT gov't entities. That's just ignorant progressive-socialist propaganda. However, corps ARE treated seperately from their owners (stockholders) and pay sales (excise) tax in return for that seperation. (I see that you have NO clue about business)

There's no law of the land? I also see that you have no cule about the nature of law and therefore, WILLINGLY allow politicans to do whatever they want!

YOU and ignorant sheeple like you ARE THE PROBLEM!.

  • @mistara31415

The American Constitution is NOT 'just paper"! IT IS LAW!

There is a LEGAL PROCESS to change that LAW, but politicians IGNORE the Constitution or simple "interpret" it to ALWAYS give more power to the State & themselves. That is called TYRANNY!

The Bill of Rights exist so that We, the People who created gov't can fight the Tyranny of the Majority.

THAT is why we are a Representative Republic and NOT a Mobocracy!

You need to learn civics, but NOT from Gov't schools!

  • @mistara31415 If you don't understand the corporate veil privaledge given to companies in return for corporate excise taxes, then you don't understand that there is a HUGE difference between simply living in a country and being forced to work for that nation X # of weeks per year and being ALLOWED to "incorporate" to secure certain protections from gov't.

Companies receive protections & pay excise tax for those protections.

People are forced into slavery so their labor can be redistributed.

  • @mistara31415 Let's be clear that there is a HUGE distinction between taxe on income (slavery) and excise or excise tax which is commonly understood to refer to an inland tax on the sale, or production for sale, of specific goods; or, more narrowly, as a tax on a good produced for sale,

Taxes are required to run gov't, but Excise Taxe on companies are ALL that is needed when politicians honor their oath to defend the Constitutional limitations on Federal power!

    Honor is SCARCE these days.

  • @mistara31415 Half-truths are the blackest of lies because they can be partially defended.

Truth 1) Interfering with the natural liberties of others when nobody is being harmed by their free exercise is EVIL.

Truth 2): Redistribution (individual or corporate), the EVIL child of Hubris & Envy is Pandora's Box, when opened it makes SLAVES of the taxed, DEPENDANTS of the recipients, TYRANTS of the powerful and CRONIES of the politicians all in the name of "helping" some by enslaving others.

  • @mistara31415 Too often the concepts of "good" and "evil" are subjective and as we ALL know...

Power Corrupts & Gov't is POWER!.

Evil wants the power of judgment. Evil wants to "help" others even when they don't want to be "helped" because evil feeds off that power and control. Evil thinks that it is good because it "helps" others even when it FORCES it's "help" upon others or steals from some to "help" or control others “for their own good”.

THAT is the FLAW of Hubris fed by Envy!

  • @mistara31415 Is that even Stef interviewing him? Also its Stephan kinsella not Kinsley.

  • Libertarians are so goddamn funny.

  • @SlashinatorX Yeah, I was thinking about that after I posted the question here. I rephrased the question when I submitted it on Reason's facebook page to:

"Should the age of sexual consent be decided by the government? If not, then, at what point would you consider government intervention in sexual activity necessary?"

I still think its a good question. Its pragmatic, so it does not exceed libertarian political limitations, but it cuts to the core of individualist philosophies.

  • Why is Matt jumping from a fire escape?

  • Drew is not funny

  • @mistara31415 Sorry I misread your comment, Stefan is actually FOR IP, I don't know why you think otherwise. I vaguely remember him making a passing reference to "owning patterns".

  • @mistara31415 You can weasel your way in, you just have to believe in: "a supreme being". The big bang brought forth the universe into "being", and nothing is more "supreme" then the universe.

It has to do with him not fielding any arguements for or against IP. I emailed him about it and he told me he had a video on his site which I couldn't find. If you see it I would appreciate a link.

Yea I was against IP for a long time too.

Thanks for urging me to watch that, it was magnificent.

  • Cool. When you guys achieve that pretend voluntary society with no laws or law enforcement, we can take Drew Carrey's house and stuff. What is he going to do about it ? Eat a donut in our faces?

  • @beesleeper You are the worst character ever Towelie.

  • Why are there so many OLD, POOR Republicans ? I thought you all got rich "embracing capitalist opportunity"? What went wrong ? Didn't have the stamina or intelligence you thought you did ? Why do I so many OLD people in crummy cars with McCain/Palin stickers on them? And don't blame "the economy" because you claim to be able to overcome any Social Darwinist situation.

  • @beesleeper Go move to North Korea, you can spend all day in The People's Paradise worshiping Dear Leader and eating the food aide provided by the west while Dear Leader spends the nation's wealth on nukes and rockets.

  • @Hashishin13

I guess you can't answer the question. And you will move before I do. Count on that. Now back to sucking your boss's cock like a good little employee.

  • @beesleeper There are so many old poor republicans for many reasons, one of the major ones being that the government inflates the money like mad via the central bank, which is one of the main planks of the communist manifesto. Also, by world standards, or by the standards of ANY communist citizen, these "poor" republicans are very very rich. I don't have a boss, so why don't you go back to occupying your mouth with Obama's.

  • @mistara31415 Yea I'm an an-cap too, I don't really trust psychology for various reasons, but I agree with almost everything Stef says.

His almost non-existent stance in favour of IP is one glaring exception. I think its because hes a Mason and its written into their oaths or something. He once made a comment something like:

"...of course I would never be one to discourage a fellow traveler, but..."

Fellow traveler is the odd code word masons use to tell other masons who'se masonic.

  • How does someone dislike this (who ever dislikes this please give a reason) I am baffled an might loose sleep over this.

  • Comment removed

  • @mistara31415 You sound like an an-cap who listens to Stefan Molyneaux am I right?

  • Why does the media think I'm stupid? Why do they have to tell me how I feel about a certain issue or person?

Oh and whatever happened to the drummer from Foghat?

  • I can't believe I just got Rick Rolled by Reason.

  • @mistara31415 If you need an explaination, then you're too lost or high to understand.

    Do your OWN research!

  • @mistara31415 I don't do ANYTHING "collectively".

  • @mistara31415

Socialists usually cry out for Anarchy as a "red herring" knowing full well that Anarchy and the elimination of ALL natural rights for ANY but the strongest in society will pave the way for Authoritarian Statism, redistribution & regualation for "fairness" and social(ist) "justice.

Human nature NEVER changes! You have ZERO understanding of genetic predestination!

We need agreed upon societal norms like "murder, theft, rape, lying ets are bad". These become laws!

  • @mistara31415 Anarchy ALWAYS leads to Authoritarianism when the people cry out for a "strong leader" and his cadre of "friends & allies" to restore order.

Anarchy & Socialism ALWAYS fails due to flaws in human nature. (See 7 deadly sins)

    Think "lord of the flies".

We need VERY limited gov't to keep us FREE, to protect our Liberty and Property from each other, to enforce/protect our natural right of contract and to keep us from harming each other without lynch mob rule from forming.

  • why can't socialism be eradicated with pesticides?

  • @pinegrove33 socialism is a concept... socialISTS, on the other hand... :-)

  • Nick will you run for president ?

  • "Ask an anarchist" is too consistent.

  • with renewed talk of gay marriage by some in Washington, why is no one asking why the government is in the marriage license business or why are married people taxed differently than single people?

  • that's a question i've always wanted to ask myself as a libertarian- why do i hate poor people?

  • @goPistons06 trullin

  • Can there be an effective, accurate, and quick way to convince people into considering libertarianism?

  • @natepepin09 No.

If there were, someone would be using it.

So far, convincing people that individual liberty and individual responsibility for OTHERS seems generally impossible.

  • When if ever is the initiation of the use of force necessary?

  • @yinzjagoffs Now that's a great question, and it's the reason that even in an entirely voluntary society, there would be adjudication. Courts.

    Because people disagree.

But if the PRINCIPLE is that it is always wrong, then the incidents where it does happen will be both rare and minor. It is the INSTITUTION of coercion that causes violence to be wide spread and destructive.

So I'll put the question back to you, when might YOU think that INITIATING force was necessary?

  • @CurtHowland The only thing I can think up is maybe in a crisis situation where someone is running around like a chicken with it's head cut off. One irrational person has the power to make a bad situation worse.

  • @yinzjagoffs Ok, I agree, the "lifeboat" scenario could very well be that kind of thing. Ayn Rand was very fond of "lifeboat scenarios".

But even that is acting only in response to a situation, which makes whether or not it even -was- an "initiation" of force questionable. And, thus, a matter for adjudication.

I remember the first time I heard the word "adjudicator", it was an Tom Baker episode of Dr. Who, where the Master was impersonating an interstellar "adjudicator" and I had to look it up.

  • Why can't election campaigns run solely on political issues and leave social issue out all together? Why does 'the government' need to be involved in 'social issues' at all? Why does the 'the gov't' need more tax dollars from me for those unwilling to work? Why does 'the gov't' spend my tax dollars supporting nations I've never heard of or care about? Why can't I stop asking these questions? Why do the answers keep bothering me when I know they won't change? Can you recommend a good therapist?

  • Was Jack London a fraud because he only lived in Alaska for like 6 months, and they were summer months?

  • What I'd love to know is how the hell a socially conservative socialist like Michelle Buchmann can go around claiming to be a 'libertarian' and 'tea party' supporter and yet her policies are the exact opposite of what 'true' libertarians promote

  • If a blind libertarian, travelling with his blind wife and blind child happened upon two usable eyeballs along the side the road...how would he divide them?

  • Here is what I'd like to know: Since the DFA retention provisions of QRM's strict DTI standards are likely to funnel most RMBS underwriting to the top LCFI's, should the GSE exception be removed or the statute repealed in tandem with a robust GSE glidepath wind down?

  • @freesk8 DFA = Dodd-Frank Wall St. Reform and Consumer Protection Act, QRM = Qualified Residential Mortgage, RMBS = Residential Mortgage-Backed Security, DTI = Debt to Income Ratio, LCFI = Large and Complex Financial Institutions, GSE = Government Sponsored Enterprise (like Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac.)

    See :23 in the video...

  • Should the age of sexual consent be 18? If no, at what point would you consider government intervention in sexual activity necessary?

  • @Fratracide In 1889, California upped the age of consent from 10 to 14 and then raised it again in1897 to sixteen.

  • Will it blend?

  • Can libertarians win in the tea party without compromising, thus winning in the GOP? And who is more libertarian, Wayne Allyn Root or Ron Paul?

  • Comment removed

  • Do you think the current libertarian party has bought into just being a party that will not win. I worked for the constitution party in the 2004 and that was general feeling I got.

  • Whats the airspeed velocity of a unladen swallow?

  • @TheStrazy African or European?

  • @TheStrazy African or European?

  • @TheStrazy What... Is the capital of Assyria?

  • Who would win in a fight, John Stossel or a bear?

  • @SuperSneakySteve trick question Jhon Stossel is a bear!

  • @SuperSneakySteve Does Stossel get a weapon other than his mustache?

  • lmao
