These are neat little aircraft but I am afraid I would buy the kit hoping to do it on the cheap and ending up like the rest of my "do it yourself" projects that cost double what I think they are going to cost.

My best guess is that he purposely took off at an angle to the center line because the wind was blowing in that direction, and since it was a stol plane, he knew that was all the runway he needed.

It appeared there was wind coming from the right side as it pushed him left on both the takeoff and the approach.
