College Students for TOMS Shoes

I was always told that one of the purposes of college is to teach students how to think critically. These people have obviously not learned to do so. Before wasting your money and buying TOMS Shoes, spend fifteen seconds and consider the economic and social impact that this one-for-one model can have in the Third World. The road to hell is paved with good intentions and walked on by people with TOMS Shoes.

At my college and in the town, at least half the people I see every day have a pair of these.

Everyone says they're really comfy, I think I'll get a pair for myself...

Surprised no one is talking about this book, especially since its taylor made for college students. "You Have A College Degree, Now What?" was released last week.

They may just be shoes but they can stop a lot of problems. And this is just one small step. Tom's is not saying that this will solve everything but it is a step. And they are educating many people and showing them how a little gift, something that we obviously take for granted, could mean so much to another person. If you honestly think what they are doing means nothing try going the rest of your life without shoes and see how much it can really change your daily life.

@LeggoTheMeggo I plan on going barefoot the rest of my life, but it's sort of difficult when I'm not allowed to eat at restaurants or enter gyms, because of you shoe-mongers. Shoes actually cause more foot problems than they prevent (just google it for yourself). Get them sanitation, food, and water before shoes.

@CrappyMovieStudios And my guess is your not walking around any jungles barefoot, theres kinda a difference walking on sidewalks then walking through the jungle where you can step on god knows what. So lets see your "facts" before you start putting down an amazing company

You can't solve all the world's problems. This is an ingenious way to help reduce one problem that affects so many people. Keep in mind that many diseases can be prevented if feet are protected from the elements. I don't even own a pair myself (yet) but I can clearly see the benefit this company provides.

i really want to get some but i keep hearing that they have bad ventilation and will get smelly really fast. is this true?

why so a charity can pay people 20 dollars an hour to put old misfitting shoes on kids. the whole point of toms is that children get shoes that fit and are protect them. they give out different shoes to different countries depending on their needs.
