  • He is still choking the guy.

  • good moviment and the best sollution HAW CAN I STUDY THIS FIGHT STILE?

  • THANK U!

  • hmm or u could knee the dude in the groin and poke hes eyes ... if he still dnt let go then grab the his wrists from the inside of the choke and pull them away from each other he loose hes grip , follow up with a head but as he is coming towards u while loosing balance , see i diditn need a thousand years old techinque i jst thought of it now :P .... still this one propably is more techincal and looks more pretty

  • @SilenTwolF23100 for smaller guys facing guys over 6 feet tall with their faces and bodies out of reach for eye jabs or groin kicks, body mechanics is very important in getting out of a sticky situation.

  • @lucidmist damn..... touche .... U_U i have been defeated ... one thing i noticed is that if you get angry in a fight it all goes out the window anyway :/ propably have to go through some special training for that ?

  • @SilenTwolF23100 Im pretty sure people have used the knee to groin, pokes to the eyes and headbutts for thousands of years too. LOL

  • The other guy looked really like wanting to choke someone...

  • I like this move. As a Wing Chun practitioner, my first response would be to attack his eyes, throat, and not worry about the hands. His choke ties up both of his hands. I'm free to tear his eyes out of his skull.

  • @chisaoboy Thanks, your comment is useful for me !

  • @chisaoboy Exactly.

  • Is that Needle at Sea Bottom from one of the Wu styles?

  • nice

  • why all the hate people T-T

  • you have so many options because that is a retarded choke and only an untrained idiot would try to choke you like that.

  • @mrkiky I guess these moves would work pretty good on most people out there then, because most people ARE untrained idiots. lol

  • @mrkiky I think only untrained people choke to start with. I get there are decent choke holds from behind, but there are faster ways of incapacitating someone. I don't think this guy is teaching you self defense techniques so you can get into a cage match, I think he's teaching you to defend yourself from a potential dangerous situation.

  • @heartdyedpurple You're right. A standing two hand "choke" from the front as seen here is only good if you'd be tigerclawing his neck/adams apple or otherwise doing immediate damage, or at least breaking his structure/balance. If you're just choking the guy, it's wrong. Choking from behind is a good way to end a fight, with limited risk of killing the person (if you know how to do it). However, if you're up against someone skilled, you have to pull back sharply, to break his balance.

  • @ryan1981nz no one will give you a frontal choke. so dream with it nutshoter.

  • people slagging this guy off should shut up he is actually very good, bear in mind this is an application straight from a form he isn't calling it a self defence technique for everybody, if you want that check krav maga this tech IS hard by nature as is taichi. Plus id bet 90 percent of you haters would last 3 secs against this guy even if he doesn't come across as a bad ass

  • @DragonZord90 yes thats the best way - why dont more people know or apreciate the rising split break, its close to a natural responce, always breaks the hold and can be combined with loads of nasty groin/eyes/neck techniques. it can be found in all tai chi, i learnt it first in judo

  • @ryan1981nz im seven foot and have a huge reach - you wouldn't reach my eyes, plus when i choke people to death i do it from a side on profile so you wont get my nuts. also ALL people have a very good reflex to protect their balls and eyes, if you dont deal with the choke you could die

  • @jr13977 if ur 7 foot then im prolly fucked, but i would try to split ur ribs with my knuckles.

  • He looks kinda like Teller from Penn & Teller fame.

  • @ryan1981nz 1st you knee him in the balls, so that he bends, and AFTER stick your fingers on his eyes

  • Real beating you'd be hard to do these exercises ...

    : /

  • Good moves!

  • don't think i need a white man teach me how to use tai-chi. He sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Proven many years ago in UFC is not good enough - they follow rules. Proven through thousands of years of war? Now you're talking. If you use bjj to bring down a traditional martial artist to the ground, you must make sure every inch is covered, every finger is checked, and no space available for movement. One mistake for a split second and they can literally rip your ears off from the side of your head then collapse your throat.

  • If someone really chokes you, then this does not work, especially if the attacker presses in your larynx. An uppercut or a push with the knee in the groin, would be more effective. The attacker is not a rigid creature, he moves and will do everything to hurt you. There is no time for any arm techniques.

  • very good but do0 not forget that the step is to root his foot so that you create a compound spiral fracture of their leg .. ending the fight ...

  • aikido is better !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @geitekop507 maybe for faster learned basic self defense and for someone who dont wants to go too deep in a martial arts

  • @geitekop507 there is no the best martial art, it only depends on you....... i see that you are not familiar with martial arts at all

  • @GuitarDestroyer77777 Hold it. I didn't say that Aikido is the best. I said Aikido is better. First, that means it is a opinion. Second, It means that I never said that Aikido is the best sport or defence in the world.

  • @geitekop507 Wait, man. I'm not trying to insult you or anything like that, i'm just saying that you are absolutely not familiar with martial arts, becouse everybody that is familiar with martial arts knows that there is no "the best or "better" martial art, they are all good and effective, it only depends on you and how you use it. Aikido is not better than Tai Chi Chuan, Tai Chi Chuan is not better than aikido, it only depends on you. Peace, my friend.

  • @GuitarDestroyer77777 Again, that doesn't explain that you said that I am not familiar with martial arts......... :(

  • @geitekop507 Well, you are right, i said that becouse you said that there is "better" martial arts (aikido), you maybe just wanted to say that you like aikido, i respect every martial art, and they are all extremely effective martial arts, it only depends on you and how you use them. Sorry for saying that you are not familiar with martial arts, i didn't meant to offend you.

  • @GuitarDestroyer77777 Nah, it is fine. Sorry I putted you into this situation of talking....

  • @geitekop507 Its fine! As soon as we are not arguing its great! Add me!

  • @GuitarDestroyer77777 in fact, you cán say that one martial art is better than another. I would say martial arts that don't include punching/kicking and only focus on the ground game like Judo and others are less effective than martial arts that mix it all up like Jiu Jitsu.. its more well rounded, so in a self defence situation, i would prefer Jiu Jitsu over Judo for example..

  • @GuitarDestroyer77777

Actually, youre wrong, and it seems that you are the one who is not familiar with martial arts.

Some martial arts ARE better than others....in certain areas of the fight.

For example, BJJ is better than boxing on the ground, boxing is better than BJJ at punching.

Judo is better at takedowns than muat thai etc etc

This has all been proven many years ago in the UFC.

Thats why today, you HAVE to have an MMA style, otherwise you will lose.

    Simple as that, my friend.

  • @SkemeKOS I agree an 80% with what you say here, but don't forget is not the same a street fight than a ufc fight or a pub fight. Would you use ground techniques in a place full of people when you don't know who else can join your enemy? I'd say

  • @BajoCLF

    YES!

    I would.

If I got taken down, I would be thankful of my grappling training and use the techniques to protect my self down there and maybe get back to my feet safely.

At least I have a MUCH better chance than someone who is clueless on the ground.

I wouldnt panic as much either, which is important.

    Again, cross training is VITAL.

Theres no ifs or buts about it. If you dont train in ALL areas of fighting then you will be sorry when the fight goes to an area youre unfamiliar in.

  • @SkemeKOS Well, here's my 20%. I think you can't go to the ground at all in a street. At least every time i saw someone trying to do some wrestle things in a street fight went bad. Taking down or sweeping went pretty good, but when they go grappling they get always kicked seriously but some motherf that shows up when there's someone on the floor.

I think cross training is great when you have mastered something first.

But that's just my point of view, that are my observations.

  • @BajoCLF

Thats cool, my friend, and I respect your view on the matter.

And yeah, there ARE often some fucker wanting to join in and kick you or whatever when it goes to the ground.

But what Im saying is, what if YOU get taken to the ground?

Its better to be familiar down there than clueless.

And also, it would be fine to take THEM to the ground if you also have friends with YOU :)

  • @SkemeKOS If you got to the ground by the other guy, ground techniques would be very useful. Bu if you wrestle, train jujitsu or shuai jiao, i think you may use better that training for not get taked down in a wrestle jj or sj way. There is no such thing as too much knowledge. But i still think that stand up is better for a street fight.

I think it's better for self defence have mastered one style and learn some other stuff.

To take advantage of a MA is better to make it yours.

    What do you do?

  • @BajoCLF

I practice Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do and Gracie Jiu Jitsu as a hobby.

  • @SkemeKOS Well, this is getting interesting. Keep replying and making your point, please.

  • @SkemeKOS I mean the context is the most important in that matter.

  • @SkemeKOS No, you're wrong, a good boxer won't let BJJ guy to get him on the ground, also a good BJJ master won't let a boxer to punch him, it's only about a practicioner, find me a BJJ practicioner that can get Mike Tyson on the ground, heh.... you need to do some more research my friend.

  • @GuitarDestroyer77777 I need to do some research? LOL!!! YOU are wrong, my friend. Watch 4:14 of this video - /watch?v=G4_a_5J6RpU&feature=related /watch?v=nsmM2NQQ5SI /watch?v=mn3yMZZaoq8 The art is just as important as the person. You HAVE to be an all round fighter nowadays to be the best. No one can win with only one style now. But if we are talking about BJJ vs Boxing, BJJ wins more than 9/10 times. Styles ARE important. Do your research. SERIOUSLY.
  • how bout the sound the guy made the first time he falls!!! hahahaha

  • Beautiful application, compromsing his line and ballance. TY for the demonstration...

  • Beautiful application, attacking his line and ballance. TY for the demonstration...

  • what if the guy who chokes me kicks me attempts to kick me in the NUTS?

  • @zezima48 kick him in the nuts first then do the technique if hes still holding on

  • we cant c cause the words stupid

  • Good move!!! It works.

  • I do like to watch the silky haired boy - he looks great! I watch this only because of his performance!

  • Not all people choke like that. what if they choke u different way? r u just gonna stand their and watch like u where a baby????????? Let me tell you something i thought u where hitting a girl but farther more he looks like boy

  • nice

  • if done fast this would look awesome though...

  • wow you are dumb.. you obviously never fought a real fighter before. u can call it whatever you want man but youll be like the rest of them unconscious. come to my hood and ill show you ten reasons why knowing how to fight standing and on the ground is better then all thee above..fagg

  • @boo1086 Dude lets see you fight a Martial Artist of Tai Chi or Northern Shaolin you would get dropped

  • @Matashi911 HAHAHA right!

  • you gata remember the weak points of the body. The liver is one that is easyly open to strike in that situation as well as the ears. but what you can do is place your right arm under both arms towards the the left, then grasp his arm and use your other arm to apply pressure on your wrist and turn him off of you and you'll be ontop :) missionary style!!

  • why not just go for the easy target which is where the kidneys are lol. a solid hit there and u will know true pain XD.

  • the problem is. most people use that two hand choke hold while they are pressing u to the ground and siting on top of u. how do u get out of that :o

  • thats when you should know a real combat martial art called BJJ

  • well tai chi is a combat martial art. i was just pointing out the flaw in the technique he is showing.

  • fat american tyr for show of....NOT WORKING THAT GOOD

  • Thank you!

  • Thanks..

  • I feel so honored to read all of the master sensai's comments out there!! (LMAO! NOT!) Should learn how to spell before you post though... (I really need a good laugh!) You must be all..."Black belts?" from sears and roebuck? LMAO...學習語言企業之前,學習藝術,爬先學走。在你受傷笑氣!

  • great work

  • bullshido... get fucking real. deflect the arms and smack the face. all that simple. no explenation.

  • @efeorh nothing is ever that simple...

  • It is nice to see how he tries to have people to focus on arm movement...and people here too commented on how they know this technique with different hand movement.

This movement exists in many arts. The main part of it is the hip movement. From this you disrupt the stability of the attacker who will have the choice of let go (and be punched) or accept the technique. But always start with hip movement...

  • i wouldnt allow myself to be put in the choke in the first place, however its a decent escape technique if you was slow and unskilled enough to allow the strangle

  • yes thats true, but what if you are not prepared to defend yourself from surpise attack or mugging situation

  • yes yes yes im sure you are that good jackie chan,

  • @swinabc yes i am actually. Also real guys dont attack wiyh a strangle they would get punched out very quickly. And whats Jackie Chan got to do with Tai Chi Chuan.

  • Thats not the way I have been thought... The way he does the movement and the application he uses are not as good as mine. The way I learned was much easier. I was thought to use my hand to do a plucking motion to release some of the pressure and open him up. Then follow up with a palm strike to the face. Different instructors = different techniques = different applications...

  • jam your finger in his clavical it will imediatley release his hold with no effort on your part

  • clavicle as in the bone? how do you jam a finger into a bone? if you mean a nerve strike near the clavical, beware that they dont always work, some people arent affected by them. i have a mate i train with who barely feels nerve strikes which usually cause pain... lucky bloke

  • If in doubt a kick to the nuts tends to put most trouble some males down. I do love tai chi thou.

  • it does, only problem is men have a protective reflex of that region, but if you can hit it, by all means do.

  • good one

  • ''Kick in the balls'' is not so efective if the guy that is choken you knows ad least a little how to fight, he realize that your first chance is to kick him in the balls, so hi stands sideways so you kick him in his thigt, it hurts but not as much as the balls...So remeber whene your choked stay sideways and do the move in the video :D

  • right on. center line is everything, good afvice.

  • how u get out of that is u kick the guy in the balls

  • wat if they kick you while you do it? this form is great ******

  • garbage and combat Tia Chi is a waste of time. Meditate until you open your polar chi lines enough, connect them with earth polar north energy balance fully the solar plexus chakra and there are other forms of combat that combined with this magnetic boost would just make Tia Chi look foolish. It was created by spiritual Taoists when the separated from the lost yogas and moved north and changed the practice to think they were generating more power because their movements reflected north energy

  • What you speak of sounds interesting to be honest. Where can I read about it (or hear about it)?

  • Taichi is not that stupid, I thought as you do before, but not after I fought with a Taichi master years ago. She was a little old lady and looked nice and fat. But when at fight, she moved like a yoga ball. She followed my speed so that she never wasted more energy than me. She even jumped very high suddenly from the ground. Hitting her was like hitting on the air, she just "take away" your power and give it back to you, and it hurts. Finally, she found my defect and hit me on the ground.

  • Did she unleash a couple energy orbs while she was at it?

  • His explanation of NSB is interesting, but kinetically more akin to one application of Golden Pheasant Stands On One Leg. The right hand doesn't generally weave up, down and back up again in NSB. It's wasted movement in actual combat. The right hand in NSB actually circles up and then down to strike at the base of the neck, shoulder, or collar bone. Another very common interpretation of NSB is as a Chin Na on the wrist, hand, fingers, or elbow. The latter being similar to Play Pi Pa.

  • who has actualy seen someone choke another person with a direct two handed choke? its common sense to know that it doesnt work

  • You don't see it because most people would be a fool to not defend against it, and it's easy to defend against because it occupies both hands and takes time to take affect.

Two hands firmly clamping the neck for any length of time will cause hypotension in the brain, unconciousness and if you depress the larynx, asphixiation. In order for that to happen, you pretty much have to withdraw and allow it to be done though.

  • It can be done easily from the mount.

  • ummm, I saw like 4 ways to regain the balance and strike back... and as you sense him moving let go lean back into center and knee into the groin.

This stuff works if you are attacked by a dope feen maybe but yeah useless teaching to look cool...

  • @TheiGODProject ?? "this stuff works if..." you've never practised tai chi have you? Different styles, different teachers and different intensities mate..One thing for sure is that for your average 'have a go' pub hard man to get close to a good teacher to cause injury is no easy thing. The speed and focus some guys have is very real. I know our master used to take his top student out in Glasgow, Scotland at closing time looking for bother to test their form. Took some hits but always returned.

  • What happened to the axiom 2 taels moves 1000 caddies? Who taught you taiji? Rageah0lic has got it right you have no respect for your student.

  • Does somebody know a good taichi teacher in miami?

  • interesting can see it working.

  • GREAT!!!

  • Yes

  • the chokes with hands can't kill you, especially up front. It's the ones with arms that's hard to deal with.

  • That's a dumb thing to say. Sure strangle moves with the arms are more effective than a simple double handed choke, but that choke can easily cause permanent damage or death if not dealt with rather quickly. Your neck is a pretty sensitive spot on your body bud.

  • lol no respect for the partner

  • thanks for this vid ,very useful indeed

  • Appreciate the technique

  • what if the chooker is 8 foot 500 pounds dude!!

  • In the taiji classics it is said" four ounces repels a thousand pounds".

  • Physics will still apply to any amount of mass.

  • Very nice application and explanation, thanks.

  • Love this application.

    Ahem...

    First.
