Torture is causing pain and keeping alive to give pain again subvert3.Torture is a vindictive act to just cause pain and let suffer until death "subvert"3. Killing a animal that grazes,fast and respectfully for food to eat.Killing one of God's few that we can eat was a right given to us by God for our nourishment. That to me is two different things subvert3.

@xesiria you say that factory farming practices are evil. Well I agree. Factory farms are a working example of Hell. So, where do you get your meat? Additionally2, it shouldn't be enopugh to say "God says it's OK" and leave it at that for a defense. God doesn't make something right willy-nilly - God approves of something because it IS right. So tell me, if you will, why you believe God thinks it is OK to kill animals.

@xesiria I don't care whether it's regarded as being torture; it's a matter of if it's right or wrong to engage in an activity that matters. You say that God gave us a right to kill animals for our nourishment - true - but when did He give us that right? It was after the Fall. There was no eating of meat in the Garden - by anything. @xesiria For one thing I don't go along with your creationist ideas, I believe evolution not creation. Any argument that involves "Gods design" for man & animal is null & void. Your religious beliefs are not be presented as fact so please leave them out of it.
The global demand for meat means animals seldom live contented lives out of dark cramped sheds. Abattoirs take an average of 20 mins from bull to burger, & often enter the butchery process before death. Where's the humanity/respect?

@xesiria Meat IS an industry & slaughter is death through violence, Given the pressure slaughter house workers are under to meet quotas & the endemic desensitisation to the process & you are left with short cuts, mistakes & cruelty. Who is to blame, the industry or the population that demands flesh? Both is equal in guilt.
