The best that the Hezb cab achieve is an equation in which Israel will lose more by attacking Lebanon than it will gain. So if Israel is made to understand that they will pay a price for killing Lebanese, that will deter them (hopefully). To destroy Israel military requires a significant military-Industrial complex and military-technological assets that are not available to the Hezb and to that matter to Iran and Syria at this point.

I think he is starting to sound more and more like an Arab leader of the 1960s. The Hizb cannot destroy 5% of the Israeli army - let alone 50% or 100% of the Israeli army.

Well the same goes for the Israeli army, there not capable of inflicting the same loss on Hezbollah, but that doesn't stop their leaders from talking a big game. And in any realistic conflict Hezbollah will have home team advantage. And the we've already seen how important that is in determining outcomes of battles.
