I agree that in a way she did commit suicide. When someone is a hardcore drug user, they r in fact killing themselves slowly and painfully. Has anyone read Rick James autobiography "Memoirs of a Superfreak"? He confirms this thought and ended up dead at a relatively young age himself.

I like Adele and think she's a wonderful artist but something that resonated in Amy and the incredible depth of sorrow and raw emotion in her music made Amy stand out. She was a genius...a lyrical genius too. You could never replace or replicate this talent. This girl was compared to great icons like Billy Holiday and many others....that speaks volume.

co-incidence. But Karen suffered from a tragic personal problem too.

There are a lot of other artists who are still loved despite their own self-destruction

(not to forget the people around them who could not stop it). And it was said that

Amy's heart may have given out due to the current alcohol usage. Karens' did

too - heart failure...
