  • Thanks for the video! I never would've thought to use the seed bead in the bead tip!

  • thanks for the tip on how to use 'bead tips'. how do you crimp the crimp bead on the other end of the claim shell bead tip without creating a slack in the wire - a gap between a necklace bead and the end of the bead tip?

  • dang those are ugly nails, were they done at a 'non-conforming shop'-lumpy and wide at tip, i cant even watch the demo cuz those nails so dang ugly,

  • thank you for your video....

  • Is there an instance where you would use one bead tip over the other? I mean use a clam shell as opposed to the one with the little hook w/ the open cup thingy. I think that I would like to use the clam shell type if it doesn't matter.

  • These are also sometimes called 'clam shells'.

  • None of these are bead caps, as you called them at the start of the vid. Bead caps are an entirely different finding & are used for decorating around the hole of a bead or capping it. These are all bead tips & the ones with the hook that you roll over are also known as 'callottes'. As I repair jewellery for a living I wouldn't recommend using a crimp at the end of beading wire inside a callotte as these crimps can easily slide off. Bead tips are best used with soft threads (Nymo, silk).

  • Thank you.

  • Thank you. It's interesting.
