How come I don't hear more of these smoking ban protestors? There are millions of smoker's around the world? Since the smoking ban started I keep myself home or just a drive in my van just to go shopping or to the Doctors? Almost like I'm under house arrest because I can't even enjoy a smoke in a restarant any more.

Nor do I travel since Hotels no longer allow smoking.

I feel like I'm living in the twilight zone!

I gave up smokin years ago and think its stupid they have banned it inside!! Espesh in this country where its mainly cold and rainy most of the year..feel they could at least have an indoor room for smokers then non smokers could choose to go in or not even as an x smoker i still think smokers should have that right!!

Now I could go on and on about how and why I beleive alot of the studies about SHS was a scam but even that aside, I see no rational reason at all why property and business owners have had their right to choose taken away from them..makes no sense.

smokers must be the only people with no human rights. the number of pensioners in the uk will double in 20 years , didnt these people grow up with smoking everywhere, buses, trains, cinemas etc etc. wake up labour are blaming smoking for cancers caused by processed foods and pesticides. Ban fat people from eating greasy food in restaurants because it will kill them and they need help from killing themselves. Healthy alcohol drinkers don't want to be bothered by smoke. one man on this said the protest is "making the town abit of a pain today" what about the weekend when theres lots of smokers crowded around outside coz they have to go out side for a smoke!

local pubs next to a housing estate - everyone going outside to have a smoke = more noise for residents.

why can't pubs have a choice to have a smoking room and a non- smoking room completely seperate?

As for CRUK about the air quality being cleaner, hmmm seems like there would be lots of cars going through if the protester had not of slowed them down.
